The optical marker (12, 14) comprises an optically detectable structure (18) being positioned within a periphery (20) of the marker (12, 14). Furthermore, a method for detecting a position of a printing plate (10) is presented. Additionally, a control unit (38) for a system (36) for detecting a position of a printing plate (10) and a system (36) for detecting a position of a printing plate (10) are explained. Moreover, a computer program comprising computer readable program code means for causing steps of the method is defined.
Abstract:
The ‘Interchangeable/Modular Textile Printing Pod’ system marks a significant innovation in screen printing, merging manual techniques with textile enhancement in a singular, efficient design. It features a linear, expandable layout of printing Pods that optimize workspace by aligning along the perimeter, freeing central areas for broader use. Each Pod, equipped with versatile stations, connects via a Rail & Trolley mechanism, supporting seamless movement of heating attachments like Flash Heaters and Heat Presses across Pods. This design not only conserves space but also enhances workflow, enabling swift transitions across printing tasks. Ideal for space-constrained environments, this adaptable and scalable system offers a modern solution to diverse screen printing needs, embodying efficiency and flexibility in printmaking technology.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a correction system for an alignment film printing plate, including: a roller and a printing plate mounted as a sleeve outside of the roller, wherein a first end portion of the printing plate is provided thereon with a plurality of columns of buckle groups, and a second end portion of the printing plate is provided thereon with a plurality of columns of slot groups engaged with the buckle groups. The correction system for the alignment film printing plate further includes an image controller used for measuring a deviation value between an actual position and a preset position for printing of an alignment film on a substrate. The correcting system of the alignment film printing plate has a simple structure and is capable of realizing different stretching degrees of an alignment film pattern at different positions on the printing plate, so as to improve a correction effect of the printing plate. As a result, deviation can be reduced between an actual position and a preset position for printing of the alignment film on the substrate, without significant increase in costs.
Abstract:
An alignment method for screen printing process includes: attaching a transparent film on a to-be-printed substrate in such a manner that the transparent film covers at least a to-be-printed region of the to-be-printed substrate, forming a printed pattern including an alignment mark on the transparent film by using a screen printing plate to imprint printed material onto the transparent film, and comparing whether the alignment mark on the transparent film is aligned with an alignment mark on the to-be-printed substrate. When the alignment mark on the transparent film is aligned with the alignment mark on the to-be-printed substrate, it is determined that current positions of the screen printing plate and the to-be-printed substrate are final alignment positions. When the alignment mark on the transparent film is not aligned with the alignment mark on the to-be-printed substrate, the current position of the screen printing plate or the to-be-printed substrate is adjusted.

A printing device including a conveyance rod which discharges and introduces a screen mask and a board support member; and a control section. The control section performs a mask exchange process including a mask discharge process of discharging the screen mask to be discharged and a mask introduction process of introducing the screen mask to be introduced by controlling a conveyance rod. In addition, the control section performs a support member exchange process including a support member discharge process of discharging the board support member to be discharged and a support member introduction process of introducing the support member to be introduced by controlling the conveyance rod.
Abstract:
An automatic screen registration device for a registering a screen printing frame and method of use that includes generally (1) a print head or plurality of print heads; (2) frame or frames attached directly to the print head(s) and (3) a means for positioning a screen in the frame(s). The present invention uses a multi-point registration system that is attached to each print head of a screen printing system.
Abstract:
Examples disclosed herein relate to front-to-back registration of a printed content onto a print medium. In one example, a trigger signal generated by a sensor upon detection of a trigger mark on a first surface of a print medium is received. The trigger mark includes a leading edge and a trailing edge, wherein the leading edge and the trailing edge are non-parallel. Based on the trigger signal, a distance of the trailing edge from a point on the leading edge is determined. Once determined, a measure of lateral wander of the print medium with respect to the print path is obtained. The measure of the lateral wander is determined by comparing the distance between the leading edge and the trailing edge, with a threshold value.
Abstract:
Apparatus and methods for attaching flexible or magnetic plates onto an imaging cylinder are provided. A drum apparatus of an imaging device includes an imaging cylinder having an outer surface and a magnetic foil attachable to the outer surface of the imaging cylinder. In a configuration with the magnetic foil attached to the outer surface of the imaging cylinder, at least one metal back plate can be attached to the imaging cylinder via magnetic coupling to the magnetic foil. In a configuration without the magnetic foil attached to the outer surface of the imaging cylinder, at least one flexographic plate can be attached to the imaging cylinder.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and a device for aligning printing plates on printing cylinders to provide an image or indicia on metallic cylindrical containers.
Abstract:
A method of screen printing positionally synchronizes a plurality of pallet assemblies on a first screen printing machine with a plurality of pallet assemblies on a second screen printing machine. A screen printed garment having a properly aligned first image received from the first screen printing machine is transferred on a portion of one of the pallet assemblies on the first screen printing machine to one of the plurality of pallet assemblies on the second printing machine. The properly aligned first image on the garment is in proper positional alignment with a screen printing head on the second screen printing machine such that a second image complimentary to the first image is printed on the garment in proper position on the garment relative to the first image without user intervention to positionally locate the first image relative to the screen printing head on the second machine.
