    摘要： A platen knob includes a first hollow cylinder having one bottom wall, a second hollow cylinder extending from the interior surface of the bottom wall coaxially with the first cylinder. The second cylinder is fitted on a shaft of a cylindrical platen through a hollow boss of a casing housing the platen. A cavity defined between the sidewalls of the cylinders receives a vibration-proof lining and/or an acoustical layer. The lining suppresses a vibration of the platen knob. The acoustical layer seals the boss of the casing and leaks no noise from the interior of an electronic apparatus including a platen.

    摘要： A transporting means for a record carrier is intermittently moved by operating means controlled by two endless cam tracks. Transporting oscillations of the operating means can be blocked by control means so that the operating means performs idle movements during which the record carrier is not transported. In a modified embodiment, the transporting means include a gear and a printing roller mounted on a rocking member operated by an endless cam track, and data imprinted on a record carrier can be read due to the turning of the transporting means.

    摘要： An automatic line spacing device which can be advantageously incorporated in typewriters, especially of the type which has no constantly rotating power shaft. A feed pawl is mounted on a rockable member and cooperates with a ratchet to angularly rotate a typewriter type platen. The rockable member is constantly coupled to a bidirectional electric motor which is first energized sufficiently to angularly rotate the rockable member from its home position to a rotated limit position defined by a fixed positive stop element for effecting a line spacing operation and then secondly energized sufficiently to rotate the rockable member back to its home position as defined by another stop element. A cam adjusts the angle during which the feed pawl engages the ratchet so as to effect different line spacing increments.
