摘要:
A business forms assembly and method of forming is provided wherein a continuous web defines a plurality of successive form sets and wherein the web is divided longitudinally by a slit indicator line to define adjacent form parts for each set. Carbonless transfer technology is employed, such that a back side or undersurface of one form part (the upper part) is coated with carbonless microcapsules, while a front side or upper surface of the adjacent form part (the lower part) is coated with a co-reactant resin coating. The arrangement permits variable information to be printed on the adjacent form parts as the web passes through a non-impact printer. Thereafter, the web is longitudinally slit, separating the adjacent form parts which are thereafter interstacked so that the coating on the undersurface of the upper form part lies in full surface engagement with the coating on the upper surface of the lower form part. The respective form parts may then be adhesively secured. Thereafter, information imaged onto the upper form part is simultaneously imaged onto the lower form part.

A multilayered document assembly for travel agencies yields a customer's invoice, itinerary and document jacket as well as the agency's file copy by carbonless or carbon means of copying through the assembly. A document pocket is transversely disposed across an end of a lower sheet of the assembly to allow graphic area for printing all output information from common major airline computer program reservation and ticketing systems with no unused areas to result in waste paper to be disposed of by the agency employee. Standard size, relatively narrow paper can be utilized for the assembly sheets at considerable savings of paper expense over wider paper. Printers designed for maximum paper width of ten inches can utilize the assembly.

A continuous business form assembly comprises a continuous web incorporating a plurality of business forms, the business forms each having a window flap portion and a non-window, remainder portion, the form having an exterior surface and an opposite, interior surface. The window flap portion has a first face defined on the web exterior surface and a second face defined on the web interior surface, the window first face and second face thereby being defined on the opposite exterior and interior surfaces of the form. The window flap portion is partially cut from the form to thereby form a window at least partially defined by one edge providing a fold line about which the window flap portion is foldable to a printing position in which the window flap first face is exposed with the interior surface of the form, for simultaneous, printing of the window flap first face and the interior surface of the form. The window flap portion is foldable along the fold line, after printing, to a closed portion in which the window flap first face is returned to exposure with the exterior surface of the form and acts as a label for the business form. Each window is substantially covered by a transparent patch mounted to the interior surface of the form, the patch defined by four edges, a first of which is located substantially along the fold line of the window flap portion.

A business form product (10) broadly including a printable sheet (12), a magnetic sheet (14) aligned edge-to-edge with the printable sheet (12) to define a seam (16), and a heat-resistant tape (18) applied over the seam (16) to retain the sheets (12,14) in the edge-to-edge relationship is disclosed. The inventive business form product (10, 106) is formed by joining multiple continuous webs (38, 58) edge-to-edge and marrying the webs (38,58) with a continuous streamer of tape (86) in a press (36). A preferred embodiment of the inventive method of forming the continuous sheet (106) is disclosed wherein at least one rotatable mechanical web guide (72) is used to align the webs (38,58) in the edge-to-edge relationship, thereby enabling precise alignment not available with existing optic-type web guides. A preferred embodiment of the printable business form product (10) is disclosed wherein heat-resistant tape (18) enables the business form product (10) to be printed in high-heat printing applications (e.g., printed in an offline laser printer) without fracturing the taped seam (16).

摘要:
The present invention relates to a substantially planar business form assembly for use in jewelry repair or delivery. The business form assembly can be provided in a cut sheet arrangement in which each business form is provided with an envelope portion and at least a record portion for tracking and custody preservation. The record portion is provided with one or more removable labels and a receipt section. The envelope portion may have one or more closure flaps to enable the ready sealing and resealing of the construction so that the article can be sealed at one location, worked on and returned to the originating location without loosing the integrity of the form assembly and its contents.

An inexpensive, reliable sampling kit made up of a foldable sheet (12) defining a substrate, a die cut opening (30), (32) in the substrate, a transparent cover (34), (36) for the opening (30), (32) and adhered to the sheet on one side thereof, and an adhesive area (40) on the sheet (12) adjacent the opening (30), (32) and containing a layer of pressure sensitive adhesive (52). A removable release liner (60) covers the layer of adhesive (52) and a line of weakening (20), (22) is located in the sheet (12) and extends through the adhesive area (40) in the general direction of the opening (30), (32). The material to be sampled may be adhered to the adhesive area (40) after removal of the release liner (60) so as to extend over the opening (30), (32) and the sheet (12) folded upon itself on the line of weakening (20), (22) and held folded upon itself by the adhesive (52).

Flexible composite material is provided upon which a facsimile message containing both confidential and nonconfidential information can be recorded. In general, the composite material comprises a recording layer and a cover layer. The recording layer has a predetermined width and a longitudinal extent which varies in length consistent with the length of the recorded message. The cover layer is disposed over the recording layer to define a confidential message recording area and at least one non-confidential message recording area. Both message recording areas extend along the longitudinal extent of the recording layer. The cover layer permits recording upon the non-confidential area and confidential area, while concealing the confidential message prior to the cover's removal. Preferably, a releasable adhesive layer is disposed over the confidential message area, so as to releasably secure the cover layer to the recording layer without adversely affecting the integrity or functioning of the confidential recording area. In practice, the adhesive layer is formed as spaced-apart strips and includes perforation lines formed in the cover layer. These perforation lines provide a visual indication that the cover layer had been removed or tampered with. According to another aspect of the present invention there is provided a method of delivering a hard copy of a confidential message. The method involves utilization of a facsimile data communication system including at least one transmitter and at least one receiver operably associated with a recording means capable of utilizing the flexible composite of the present invention.
