摘要： A compounded and plasticized vinyl chloride polymer layer, optionally supported with a fabric, contains an outer adherent, stain resistant layer having durability and flexibility. The adherent, stain resistant layer is derived from a water-based polyester-amino resin composition. The stain resistant layer comprises the reaction product of said polyester, an acid catalyst, and an amino resin. The vinyl chloride layer may be printed or embossed or both printed and embossed, optionally printed again, before the outer layer is applied. A laminate formed from the polyvinyl chloride polymer layer and the stain resistant layer can also be embossed.

摘要： A track assembly for supporting fabrics includes first and second tracks each having one-half of a hinge and one-half of a snapping clamp which, when interfaced, become a hinged clamp. When snapped or clamped together, the tracks tighten and securely clamp fabric to be hung on a wall. The track assembly includes a resilient longitudinal edge and a longitudinal flange spaced inward the edge which configuration allows for the facile creation of tight seams between pieces of fabric along longitudinal edges of respective clamps.

摘要： A corner bracket is provided for use with a fabric supporting track assembly of a type adapted for installation of a fabric wall covering onto a wall. The corner bracket has a generally triangular configuration defining a generally L-shaped corner piece hingedly connected to a bracket base adapted for fixed attachment to the wall. The bracket base supports the corner piece within a corner of the wall, in alignment with horizontal and vertical components of the track assembly. The corner piece is hingedly movable between an easily accessed first position pivoted away from the wall corner for facilitated attachment of the fabric wall covering thereto, and a second position pressed into the wall corner for snap-fit interlock with the track components.

摘要： The wall covering assembly includes a flexible, resilient, preferably sound-deadening, fire-resistant sheet of wall covering, preferably of plastic and/or cloth. The assembly also includes one or a spaced number of preferably parallel wall covering anchoring strips releasably connected to the rear of the wall covering. The strips can be anchored to the exposed surface of a wall to hold the wall covering over and spaced from the wall. Each strip may be of plastic, wood, metal, ceramic or the like and includes a rear base plate adapted to be connected, as by adhesive, screws, etc. to a wall. It also includes a front plate spaced forward of the base plate by integral struts, preferably parallel therewith and defining therebetween an acoustical space. The front plate bears anchoring hooks attachable to the rear of the wall covering. Preferably, the strips bear breakaway segments on one side thereof, removably blocking access to the space. When the segments are removed, ends of the wall covering can be reflected into the space. Segment-bearing sides may be flat, rounded or tapered. The assembly permits rapid efficient attachment of acoustical coverings to walls.A prefabricated panel can be constructed using a baseboard with strips secured to the top, and a wall covering secured at its ends to the strips. The baseboard has hanging members for securing the panel to a wall.

摘要： A space divider panel having fabric sheets positioned to extend across the side surfaces of the panel, with the edges of the fabric sheets being held by channel-like retainers which extend longitudinally along the panel edges. The improved retainer relies upon a spring-type clip for permitting secure holding of the fabric edge, which clip simplifies insertion of the fabric edge into the retainer while effectively providing a secure one-way holding of the edge to prevent its withdrawal. The spring clip solely holds the fabric edge, and accomplishes this without requiring the use of a deformable bead or strip.

The longitudinal tacking rail has a flat bottom bearing surface and is wedge-shaped in cross-section at one side. A pair of parallel wall members extend oppositely from the wedge in cross-section and define a tensioning groove therebetween which extends substantially along the entire length of the tacking rail. The border-edge zone of the sheet material is adapted to be inserted and wedged into the tensioning groove by means of an auxiliary tool so that it can be retained under tension therein.

摘要： A portable frame for holding and transporting fabric-based murals. The frame comprises tubular members joined together and conforming to the shape of the canvas to be mounted thereon. The canvas is folded over to the back side of the frame, and pipe-like battens are secured to the ends of the canvas. Cords attached to the battens are pulled to insure a uniform, wrinkle-free mounting of the canvas.

摘要： An assembly of border pieces attachable to a wall to form a framework for mounting a fabric sheet which completely covers the wall without being adhered thereto. The assembly is constituted by linear border pieces whose ends abut right angle border pieces to define a framework that follows the perimeter of the wall and of any openings therein. Each piece includes a storage channel that runs along the outer edge of the piece and has a narrow inlet on the face of the piece, and a keyway extending along the piece in parallel relation to the channel, the keyway also having a narrow inlet on the face of the piece. In securing the selvage of the fabric sheet to a border piece, the selvage is placed over the face and a zone thereon is trapped within the keyway by means of a compressible spline which overlies the selvage zone and is forced into the keyway through its inlet, the remaining tail of the selvage being stuffed into the storage channel whereby the exposed selvage presents a smooth appearance.
