摘要： An apparatus for removing and installing a truck cap, the apparatus is formed by a box member having an opening, the box member being adapted at one end to a truck hitch and the other to a sleeve. A mast is rotatably disposed in the sleeve. A boom having a first end and a second end is fixedly attached at a right angle at the first end to the mast. A first slideable member is slideably coupled to the boom at the second end of the boom. A spread arm is fixedly attached at a right angle to the first slideable member. At least two bumpers are disposed on the spread arm and one bumper on the boom. In use, the rod of a jack disposed within the box member engages the mast through the opening of the box member to raise or lower the mast.

摘要： A loading device can be mounted quickly and easily to a roll-off vehicle by mounting a yoke assembly to the frame of the roll-off vehicle. The yoke assembly includes a pair of attaching potions which extend from the vehicle, and each of the attaching portions is provided with an opening. A pair of hydraulically actuated hooks are pivotally mounted on the loading device. The loading device is pulled onto the roll-off vehicle so that the hooks are adjacent the attaching portions of the yoke assembly. The hooks are then pivoted to extend through the openings in the attaching portions so that the hooks are secured to the attaching portions.

摘要： An improved hoist is disclosed to reposition a load relative to a vehicle compartment such as a trunk of a vehicle. The hoist comprises a base for location on a generally horizontal lower surface of the vehicle compartment. A horizontal telescoping shaft has a first and second distal end extending from opposed sides of the base for engaging with opposed generally vertical surfaces of the vehicle compartment. A horizontal expander coacts between the first and second distal ends for applying a horizontal engaging force between the opposed generally vertical surfaces of the vehicle compartment for horizontally stabilizing the base within the vehicle compartment. A vertical telescoping shaft having a distal end extends vertically from the improved hoist for engaging with a upper generally horizontal surface of the vehicle compartment. A vertical expander coacts between the base surface and the distal end of the vertical telescoping shaft for applying a vertical engaging force between the lower and upper generally horizontal surfaces of the vehicle compartment for vertically stabilizing the base within the vehicle compartment. A column extends from the base for supporting a boom for repositioning the load relative to the vehicle.

摘要： A powered lift mechanism for stowing and deploying scooters relative to the cargo area of a conventional SUV. The lift mechanism comprises an L-shaped box-section boom which is pivotally attached to the D-pillar on the inside of the SUV cargo area so as to leave the floor of the cargo area available. A powered linear actuator controls the angle of the boom relative to the D-pillar mounting structure to raise and lower the loaded scooter. The entire lift mechanism swings in the vehicle and permits the lift gate to be fully closed with both the lift mechanism and the scooter stored within the SUV. A releasable suspension linkage is also disclosed.

摘要： The lower ends of two vertical standards are received in sockets provided on the sideboards of a pick-up truck box, the upper ends of the standards being connected by a detachable bridging member. A boom assembly is pivotally mounted on one of the vertical standards, and is swingable from a position outside the truck box to a position disposed over the box, the boom assembly carrying a winch and cable assembly for lifting heavy objects. When not in use the boom assembly is movable into alignment with the bridging member for storage, where it is secured. In one embodiment the boom assembly is extendable, to enable handling elongated objects. The hoist is designed for easy mounting on and removal from the truck box.
