Abstract:
A method and system for a rotational multi-track railway switch-junction. The rotational multi-track railway junction comprises one or more incoming tracks and a plurality of outgoing tracks connected by a rotating platform to a plurality of stationary track sections. The rotational platform provides a connection between at least one of the incoming tracks and at least one of the outgoing tracks and can be automatically controlled and locked in a given position. Thus, costs and an overall size of a railway junction are reduced.
Abstract:
In one embodiment of the present disclosure, a switch for a powered pallet conveyor is provided. The switch comprising (a) a turntable and (b) rail portions which are arranged upon the turntable and define at least a first travel pathway and a second travel pathway, whereby the first travel pathway is defined by straight rail portions and a second travel pathway is defined by curved rail portions, so that the central line of the first travel pathway and the departure lines of the second travel pathway respectively pass through the fulcrum of the turntable.
Abstract:
A turntable bearing tracks at a switching point in an amusement ride course, or other vehicular path having tracks, utilizes two linear induction motors, one for rotating the turntable and one for latching the turntable at selected rotational positions. The linear induction motors are mounted beneath the turntable and operate with an extremely high degree of reliability.
Abstract:
A car turner for the cars of a unit transportation system in which a turntable is rotatable by means of at least one sprocket integrally mounted on its pivot shaft, at least one sprocket rotatably mounted on a stationary frame, a chain passing around both sprockets, and a dual-action fluid cylinder mounted on the stationary frame and connected to the chain so that it is driven in one way when the cylinder extends and the other way when it contracts. Preferably, two pairs of sprockets and a double chain are used. Means for releasably retaining a car on the turntable during the rotary motion may be provided.
Abstract:
The roller conveyor for transporting good carriers, in particular skids used in the automobile industry, comprises a conveyor path consisting of several in series arranged roller path modules. Each roller path modules comprises two roller borders which are parallel to each other and between which at least one transport roller is arranged. The roller conveyor also comprises an operation unit movable with respect to the conveyor path. According to said invention, the operation unit is embodied in a modular manner and comprises the roller path module and moving gear modules fixed thereto.
Abstract:
A low profile turntable device for parking or maneuvering vehicles or heavy items in confined spaces constructed of two skins with structural foam in between, support rollers on the bottom skin, stops on the bottom skin to stabilize the turntable during loading, a reversible drive mechanism, and a ramp around the exterior so it does not have to be installed below grade level.
Abstract:
A transfer table is movable to place tracks thereon into and out of alignment with stationary tracks. When a driverless wheeled vehicle is on the tracks of the transfer table, and the transfer table tracks are out of alignment with the stationary tracks, a device automatically stops vehicles adjacent the free ends of the stationary tracks. A discrete rotatable drive shaft is provided between the stationary tracks and between the tracks of the transfer table for causing a driverless vehicle to move therealong.
Abstract:
A driverless turntable system is disclosed and includes two turntables coupled together for simutaneous rotation in opposite directions. A driverless vehicle enters the first turntable, is transferred to the second turntable, and then exits from the second turntable in a direction parallel to that when it entered the first turntable. Stationary tracks are provided adjacent the turntables for guiding the vehicles thereonto and therefrom.
