    摘要: A lamp driver card to control lighting of a lamp load located on a wayside of a railway system is provided. The lamp driver card comprises a light source controller module including at least one channel having a semiconductor switch or a relay to receive power on a copper cable sized at a selected gauge size from a power source to turn ON or OFF the lamp load. The light source controller module is configured to support a multi-voltage rating range operation extended from a limited voltage to an extended operating voltage and a current rating to light the lamp load such that the light source controller module is compatible with relatively higher DC/AC voltages. The copper cable is sized at the selected gauge size of a first size to a second size based on a selected voltage rating of a first voltage system or a second multi-voltage ranges system.

    摘要: A facility for monitoring the operation of a signal lamp in the outdoor installation of an interlocking. Such signal lamps are powered through lamp transformers located in the immediate vicinity of the lamps. Monitoring for filament breaks is done on the primary side in the interlocking station. The monitoring poses problems in the case of great control distances because leading reactive currents occur on long leads. The invention uses a modulator in the secondary circuit of the lamp transformer which impresses on the lamp current a unique modulation pattern that is recognized in the interlocking station. In addition, the modulator may be turned on via a photocell responsive to the light of the signal lamp, and may perform additional control functions, such as turning on auxiliary light sources.

    摘要: There is described a track circuit for use with a track section which may or may not include a switch. The system detects the presence of a railroad vehicle within the track section as it constitutes a shunt across the track. The track section is divided into a plurality of segments with each segment having a common boundary with at least one other segment. Alternating current signals are induced into each track segment and a sensor is provided for sensing and responding to the induced a.c. signals. A modulator is provided for intermittently affecting the sensed signal and a detector is provided for detecting and responding to the changing signal.The detected signals are gated through a logic circuit which provides first and second outputs indicating: the changes are as might be anticipated as a result of the modulation introduced; or, the changes are other than might be anticipated as a result of the modulation, respectively. The shunting effect of a railroad vehicle in any segment will cause the production of the second type of output signal and, therefore, the second type of output signal is an indication of a railroad vehicle within the track section.
