    摘要: A lift and method for lifting equipment modules, and for providing for sideways loading equipment modules, or cargo containers, onto a mounting surface of a sea vessel, such as a ship or submarine. The lift comprises a frame for supporting the equipment modules or cargo containers, and includes a number of conveying beams for conveying the equipment module or cargo container in a sideways direction in relation to the frame, and means for lifting said conveying beams in a vertical direction. The method includes, providing a lift according to the invention; arranging an equipment module or cargo container onto the lift; maneuvering the lift on a ground surface into a position substantial parallel with the hull of said sea vessel; raising the equipment module or cargo container by the lift in a vertical direction to a specific vertical position in relation to a mission bay in said hull; conveying the equipment module or cargo container sideways into the mission bay, by said conveying beams; connecting the equipment module or cargo container to a number of anchoring points within the mission bay and retracting the conveying beams out of the mission bay.

    摘要: One or more wavegates are located on a seismic surface vessel to substantially prevent or limit waves from crashing onto a back deck of the vessel. The wavegate may comprise one or more steel gates or doors located at or near the aft portion of the vessel, such as on or near the rear end of the back deck, that may be moveable between a closed position and an open position. Each door may be fixed in position and/or be rotated and/or moveable in a horizontal and/or vertical direction between different positions. The wavegate allows the surface vessel to travel backwards and/or in the face of incoming waves while substantially preventing and/or limiting waves from crashing onto the back deck of the marine vessel. The seismic surface vessel may be a deployment vessel or a hybrid seismic shooting and deployment vessel or another marine surface vessel.

    摘要: A door or window (1) comprises a main frame (10) and at least one wing (101) fitted movably to the main frame, in such a way that the door or window can assume an open condition and a closed condition, and sealing means (200), positioned in such a way that they are interposed between main frame and wing when the door or window is in the closed condition. The sealing means comprise at least one gasket (303, 307) extending along at least part of the perimeter of the main frame and a movable sealing member (230, 250) supported movably by one of the said main frame and wing, and capable of exerting a compressive force on the gasket against the other of the said main frame and wing when the door or window is in the closed condition. The sealing means comprise operating means (210, 220) for making the movable sealing member move between an activated position, in which the movable member exerts the compressive force on the gasket with the door or window in the closed condition, and a disabled condition, in which the movable member removes the compressive force from the gasket with the door or window in the closed condition. The movable sealing member comprises a sealing counter-frame (250) which extends along the whole perimeter of the main frame and is fitted to the main frame in such a way as to be movable with respect to both wing and main frame when the said door or window is in the closed condition, in a direction (A) perpendicular to the plane defined by the main frame.

    摘要: Disclosed is a front-mounted hinge for mounting a door to a vehicle structure. The hinge includes a housing, a translating base, a hinge strap, and a cover assembly. The housing mounts to the exterior surface of the vehicle structure, and the hinge strap mounts to the exterior face of the door. The translating base is slidably mounted to the interior surface of the housing. The translating base moves relative to the housing between an abutting position, in which the translating base abuts a mounting plate of the housing, and an elevated position, in which the translating base is moved away from the mounting plate. The hinge strap is pivotally connected to the translating base so that when the hinge strap is pivoted, the translating base is caused to move between the abutting and elevated positions and the door moves between closed and open positions.
