    摘要: A life-saving bracelet includes a ring body being able to be tightened to a user's arm, a casing connected to the ring body, an air bag folded inside the casing, an air cylinder disposed inside the casing, a control valve connected between the air bag and the air cylinder, and a protective cover pivotally disposed on the casing. When the protective cover pivotally rotates to an open position, the control button of the control valve exposes to the outside. After the control button is pressed, the control valve communicates the air bag and the air cylinder, and the air in the air cylinder immediately inflates the air bag. The air bag expands to break the casing and extends to outside. Thus, the life-saving bracelet is convenient to carry, easy to use, and not affecting the agility of the user when doing water activities.

    摘要: A mechanism for puncturing gas cartridges comprises a lever comprising a short lever arm and a long lever arm, both arms extending from a pivot. The mechanism also comprises a ramp for pushing laterally a tip of the long lever arm under application of an input force on the ramp. The lever is configured to rotate about the pivot under lateral movement of the tip of the long lever arm, causing a tip of the short lever arm to apply a puncturing force between the gas cartridge and a puncturing member. A main body may receive the gas cartridge, the puncturing member and the lever. An actuator may be slidably mounted on the main body for applying the input force on the ramp by sliding towards the main body. The mechanism may be incorporated in a gas injection device or in a needleless syringe.

    摘要: A harness assembly having a pouch attached thereto for storage of a manually deployable life raft. The harness assembly is comprised of a waist strap of sufficient length to reach around the mid-section of a human body and a back, frontal left, and frontal right panel sections integrally joined with one another forming a life vest. The frontal left and right panel sections include a fastener for coupling together to form a neck opening. The pouch is removably attached to the harness assembly and positioned thereinbetween the waist strap and life vest. The inflatable life raft is disposed of within the pouch in a deflated state. The life raft includes an elongated tether cord having a first end attached to the life vest and a second end attached to the life raft. The life raft is adapted to be inflated when, in an emergency situation, the raft is removed from the pouch.

    摘要: An inflator for the inflation of inflatable articles such as life vests and the like, such inflator being operated automatically upon being subjected to water as upon the ditching or parachuting of an aviator wearing a life vest provided with such inflator. In the preferred embodiment of the inflator disclosed, the automatically operating portion of it is embodied as an attachment to a known manually operated inflator, the resulting inflator being capable of operation both manually and automatically. The automatically operating portion of the inflator incorporates a releasable blocking device which holds an actuator pin operated by a coil compression spring in cocked condition until the releasable blocking device releases the actuator pin, which thereafter thrusts a piercing pin against and through the sealing diaphragm of a gas-containing capsule. The releasable blocking device is provided with a water destructible element which retains the releasable blocking device in actuator pin cocking position until the water destructible element is subjected to water and sufficiently weakened so that the releasable blocking device releases the actuator pin. The actuator body having specially designed apertures so that inadvertent water splashes and moisture will not prematurely activate the inflator. The apertures promote an activation of the inflator only during emergency situations in which the inflator is submerged under water.
