Band has side portions disposed on opposite sides of the longitudinal axis of the link means and end portions each disposed around a respective bush. Each end portion is positively secured to the associated bush by wrapping reinforcement material around the end portion and associated bush, preferably in a figure of eight pattern, such that band is capable of transmitting both tension and compression loads between the bushes.

    摘要: The present hingeless rotor structure, especially for rotary wing aircraft,omprises at least one pair of rotor blades, whereby the blades of a pair are arranged diametrically opposite each other. The blades are secured to a rotor head for proper blade angle adjustment. Each blade has its root or radially inner end secured in a blade root sleeve which in turn is held in a respective blade angle bearing bushing. The blades of a pair are interconnected by a tension resistant, torsionally yielding member. One bearing which is pressure loadable in the direction of the longitudinal blade axis is provided for each blade pair between one of the respective blade root sleeves and the corresponding blade angle bearing bushing. The tension resistant, torsionally yielding member is capable of a certain stretching or elongation during operation. In order to compensate for such an elongation, the tension resistant, torsionally yielding members are installed in such a manner that in the rest or non-rotating condition of the blades, the center is radially displaced from the axis of rotation of the rotor head toward the respective pressure loadable bearing by one half of the length of said elongation.

Its inboard end is fixedly connected to either the rotor blade or a movable hub enveloping it at its inboard end, while its outboard end is fixedly connected to the fixed hub or extension thereof in the rotor system. Means are also provided in the system for isolating bearing means supporting the blade from the blade retention member. The member itself comprises a plurality of circumferentially spaced parallel rails spacedly disposed radially equidistant and arcuately about from a common centerline coincident with the feathering axis for the blade.

    摘要: This invention relates to a rotorcraft rotor head which includes an even number of blades arranged in groups of two blades (2) which are diametrically opposed to each other, and linked to each other by a connection system without any link with the rotor hub. Each blade (2) is articulated in flapping and in pitch on the hub body (1) by a sleeve (3) which is arranged between the root of the blade (2) and the hub body (1). The sleeve (3) bears against the periphery of the hub body (1) by a laminated spherical stop (5) and includes an introduction member for controlling the pitch of the blade (2). Each system for connecting two diametrically opposed blades (2) is comprised of two tie rods (4) which link the two diametrically opposed sleeves (3) of the blades (2). The two tie rods (4) are arranged parallel to the plane of the rotor on either side of the longitudinal axis which is common to the two diametrically opposed blades ( 2). The two tie rods (4) are parallel and substantially spaced apart with respect to the common longitudinal axis. The member which fastens the two tie rod (4) to each sleeve (3) is arranged on the outside of the laminated spherical stop (5) of the sleeve (3) with respect to the rotor axis such that the length of the two tie rods (4) is significantly greater than the distance between the centers of the two diametrically opposed laminated spherical stops (5).

    摘要: A four blade rotor construction for helicopters includes means for rotatably mounting each blade at equally spaced angular locations around the rotor hub. Diametrically opposed rotor blades are connected with each other by torsion elastic bands or endless members which are stretched across the center of the rotor head with one of the bands being arranged to pass through and intersect the other. The endless bands are formed of laminations of torsion elastic bands and the laminations of one of the bands which connects one pair of blades are arranged in a substantially vertical orientation and the laminations of the other band which interconnects the two adjacent blades are arranged in a substantially horizontal plane. The clearance between the two band loops at the center of the rotor head is such that collective and cyclic pitch controls are possible.
