    摘要: A contoured stowable seat is provided. The contoured stowable seat may comprise a housing, a seat pan, a contoured backrest, and a deployment lever. The contoured stowable seat may be configured to be in a stowed position and a deployed position. In response to the seat pan being in the deployed position, the deployment lever may contact the contoured backrest, causing the contoured backrest to deploy and form into a contoured shape. The contoured stowable seat may also further comprise a tension cord and a headrest. The contoured backrest may also further comprise a cushion located on the outer surface of the contoured backrest.

    摘要: A cantilevered vehicular seat with force distributing locks is disclosed. The seat is connectable to a support by linkage so the seat is movable relative to the support between a vertical stowable position and a horizontal position. The seat back is pivotally secured to the seat so that it is movable relative to the seat between a lowered position and a raised position. A self-locking pin lock and slot assembly releasably secures the seat back in the raised position when it is unfolded to distribute loads and make the seat sturdier. The pin lock and slot assembly has pivot arms secured to the ends of the seat at respective pivots. The arms operate the folding of the seat back relative to the seat. Slots formed in the seat back receive a retention pin and a lock pin carried by the pivot arms. The retention pin extends the length of the seat to reduce seat back chucking and distribute load to the vehicle. Another latch/lock assembly releasably self-locks the seat in the horizontal position. A self-locking fastener conveniently secures the seat in the vertical position when not in use.

    摘要: A safety seat for vehicles, including a seat portion having a tubular frame for a textile sitting surface. The seat portion is secured to a strap framework secured to a vehicle via two vertical support straps. A shoulder harness secures an occupant and has two strap portions in the vicinity of the occupant's back, each strap portion extending vertically between a releasable securement on a vehicle roof and a rear end of the seat portion. The two strap portions are deflected at the rear end and are then guided in a crossed manner beneath the sitting surface of the seat portion to securements disposed near the front edge of the seat portion. The shoulder harness has two shoulder straps held on the strap portions and extending to releasable securements near the front edge of the seat portion. The shoulder straps have a releasable cross connection for their interconnection over an applicant's chest.

    摘要: A crew attendant seat (CAS) positioned within a wall of an aircraft cabin includes a frame defining a periphery of the CAS. A seat portion is positioned within the frame that includes a seat bottom connected to a seatback by a hinge mechanism in which the seat bottom rotates between stowed and deployed positions. A spring member is mounted at one end to the frame and at another end to an aperture on the hinge mechanism, which causes the seat bottom to move to the stowed or deployed position based on relative positioning between the aperture and pivot points for the spring member and hinge mechanism. A harness includes at least one shoulder strap and lap belt coupled together by a buckle. A storage area retains the lap belt and the buckle within the frame when the seat bottom is in the stowed position.
