    摘要: A method of countering the effects of G-forces on a person comprises passing inflation gas to a bladder (41, 40) around a leg of the person by starting the inflation of the bladder (41, 49) to an operating pressure from a point (62a, 62d) adjacent an ankle of the leg as well as from a point (62b, 62c, 62e, 62f) spaced from said ankle towards the abdomen of the wearer. The inflation then progresses away from the ankle at the same time as the upper part of the bladder is being inflated. When the bladder (41, 49) is inflated to the operating pressure, the blood vessels of the leg are constricted.

    摘要: The invention relates to a device for protecting pilots and other crew members of high-performance aircrafts, especially people wearing pressure suits (1) according to the hydrostatic principle with veins (6) filled with liquid. Said device consists of a tension pocket (2) located in the region of the back and a pressure pocket (3) located in the abdominal region, airtight bladders (4) being inserted into both pockets. Said bladders (4) contain woven spacer elements (5) defining a minimum air volume in the bladders (4). In the event of falling ambient pressure, the pressure pocket (3) first expands and supports the breathing of the person wearing the device by means of pressure on the viscera, when pressure respiration appliances are used. If the ambient pressure falls further, the tension pocket (2) inflates and increases the peripheral tension in the pressure suit (1). In this way, for example, a decompression syndrome can be counteracted in the event of a sudden pressure drop in the cabin at high altitude.

    摘要: The altitude protection device according to the invention for an acceleration protection suit (1) operating according to the hydrostatic principle and having a plurality of liquid-filled veins (4) consists of a bladder (3) inserted in a pocket (2) and consisting of an elastic plastic. A knitted spacer fabric, preferably consisting of monofilament material, is enclosed in the pocket (2). This fabric is non-compressible under the loads to be provided and thus defines a minimum volume in the interior of the bladder (3). The bladder (3) is closed off or opened relative to the surrounding air in the aircraft cabin by means of a valve (5).     摘要: The device, which can be used to protect the pilots of high performance aircraft against the effect of accelerations, comprises a garment having at least trousers having pockets and a control member which supplies the pockets with compressed gas when the downwardly directed acceleration of the body exceeds a predetermined threshold. The control member is adapted to establish in the trouser pockets an overpressure from a positive acceleration threshold (BC), in accordance with a substantially linear law of variation from an origin (A) corresponding to a negative acceleration. The action of the compressed gas can be supplemented by that of a liquid contained in the pockets and also subjected to the pressure of the gas.

    摘要: Acceleration protective trousers or G-protective trousers are double-walled forming airtight compartments. The trousers include an air-permeable, tear-resistant, fire-resistant and low-stretch synthetic textile material, and the trousers are provided with compartments which can be inflated into a circular cross-section. These compartments act as muscles by two opposite edges being pulled together and the adjacent pieces of textile material being stretched. These compartments extend along the trouser legs and are connected at the upper end of the trouser legs. The compartments on the outer sides of the trouser legs extend upwards from the groins and terminate in a bag-like bladder towards the lower abdomen. On the rear side of the trousers they communicate with one another via a connecting channel. A coccyx channel branches off downwards and extends towards the crotch. The compartments communicate via at least one hose with raccord with an automatically meterable compressed air supply.

    摘要: There is provided a regulation valve for a life support system for use in an aircraft cabin. The valve may have a gas inlet, an air mask supply outlet connected to the gas inlet, and a pressure vest branch interconnected between the gas inlet and an opening. The valve may further have a decompression valve adapted to inhibit gas flow from the pressure vest branch to the air mask supply outlet if pressure in the aircraft cabin decreases below a predetermined value, a one-way valve adapted to inhibit gas flow from the pressure vest branch to the air mask supply outlet at a predetermined pressure difference between the pressure vest branch and the gas inlet, and a one-way dump valve adapted to direct gas from the pressure vest branch to the environment at the predetermined pressure difference between the pressure vest branch and the gas inlet.

    摘要: A fluid control valve for use in a system for inflating an anti-G garment. The valve includes an elongate chamber in which a valve member is moveable. The chamber has first and second axial ends. An inlet opening in a chamber wall provides for the flow of fluid into the chamber. A valve edge is provided at the second end of the chamber to form an outlet. The valve member has a first portion which closes the first chamber end and is moveable in the chamber between the inlet opening and the first chamber end, an intermediate portion which has a cross sectional area less than that of the chamber wall to permit the inflow of fluid to the chamber, and a second portion including a flow control device which co-operates with the valve edge to control fluid flow from the valve.
