    摘要: A refueling system has a vehicle having a fuel tank connected to a deployable fuel hose, an end effector having controlled flight, the fuel hose connected at an end away from the first vehicle, through the end effector to a fuel connector under the end effector, a second vehicle having a fuel tank coupled through a pumping apparatus to a fueling port on an acquisition apparatus adapted to acquire the end effector and connect the fueling port and the fuel connector of the end effector, and control circuitry enabling controlled flight of the end effector, wherein the end effector is controlled to be acquired by the acquisition apparatus to couple the fuel connector with the fueling port and fuel is provided from the fuel tank of one of the vehicles to the fuel tank of the other of the vehicles through the pumping apparatus.

The device further includes a third link coupled to the second link and includes a fourth link coupled to third link and coupled to a door assembly. The third link and the second link form a third pivot point, and the fourth link and the third link form a fourth pivot point. When the door assembly is in an open position, the support shaft, the third pivot point, and the fourth pivot point are aligned.

    摘要: A boom nozzle assembly for use with an aerial refueling boom on an aerial refueling aircraft where a shielded wiring cable from the aerial refueling boom is connected to an articulated boom nozzle through an electrical connection on the wear ring of the articulated boom nozzle and then routed to a solenoid and other devices of the articulated boom nozzle without passing through the universal joint area of the articulated boom nozzle. The boom nozzle assembly may include a torsion cable reel that keeps the shielded wiring cable in tension as the articulated boom nozzle changes its position relative to the boom nozzle assembly. The torsion cable reel may be positioned within a cable reel housing attached at the aft end of the aerial refueling boom.

    摘要: An in-flight refueling probe includes a first tubular member secured to an aircraft and a second tubular member having a releasable connection with the first tubular member such that the second tubular member detaches from the first tubular member in response to a predetermined force applied to the connection. A nozzle secured to the second tubular member can be coupled to a receptacle of a fuel dispensing aircraft. A tethering member is connected to the first tubular member and one of the second tubular member and the nozzle. The tethering member remains intact to connect the detached second tubular member to the first tubular member when a first tensile force is applied to the tethering member. The tethering member ruptures to disconnect the detached second tubular member from the first tubular member when a second tensile force greater than the first tensile force is applied to the tethering member.
