    摘要: A carton conveyer for a packaging machine has upper and lower flights to which sets of flight lugs are attached. Each set of flight lugs comprises leading flight lugs and trailing flight lugs and the leading flight lugs have recesses that face and oppose recesses on the trailing flight lugs. The recesses are formed to confine an open carton therebetween. Notches are formed in the flight lugs in such a way that movement of the leading and trailing flight lugs toward one another causes an un-erected carton between the lugs to be captured and erected.

    摘要: Equipment for continuously feeding boxes or containers stacked in a flat tubular configuration to a packaging machine which also operates continuously, the equipment being of the type comprising a magazine (M) containing the stacked containers (A), the store being downwardly open and located in the initial part of the cellular conveyor (T) of the packaging machine, and comprising a carousel device for collecting the containers, one at a time, from the base of the store and for inserting them into the cells of the conveyor at the correct time, preferably by means of interaction with opening means for inserting the container in an open condition into the corresponding cell. The magazine is positioned with its lower end at a level which may be slightly above that of the conveyor and suitably upstream thereof, in that a carousel (1) device, rotating about a horizontal axis orthogonal to the direction (F) of continuous advance of the upper run of the cellular conveyor of the packaging machine, is located under the magazine and upstream of the conveyor, in that this carousel device comprises a plurality of suction cup (116) units which are spaced at equal angular intervals from each other and are positioned in a way which is determined by interaction with cams, and in that the units are designed to grip the container and draw it from the base of the store (the first zero reference point) by gripping the base wall by means of which these units subsequently deposit the container in a dynamic way on to the base (the second zero reference point) of the cell of the conveyor, the whole being arranged in such a way as to simplify the adaptation of the equipment to changes in the format of the containers.

    摘要: A machine for erecting, filling and closing rectangular cartons, comprises a magazine for storing a plurality of flat folded cartons in a stack which has a bottom discharge opening for individual removal of each carton. A support bar located below the discharge opening defines a first station to which each carton in succession is moved past deflection means which effect a preliminary erection of the carton by deflecting side walls upwardly from the bottom. The shifting member is movable backwardly and forwardly over the support bar and has means for maintaining the carton in an upright erected condition while moving it and while it is being filled. A product stuffer includes a product magazine for storing a stack of individual products to be filled into the container which is located adjacent the first station and which includes a movable product support member carrying the lower portion of the stack which is movable away from the remaining portion of the stack to transport the lower portion away and to support the remaining portion. The product stuffer also includes a sliding member which is movable to push the products which have been removed from the stack into the individual carton. Pusher means are also provided for engaging the filled carton and for moving it out of the first station to a second station spaced from the first station at which the carton is engaged by closing devices for closing the flaps.
