    摘要: A new and improved sealed joint or system is disclosed for securing together the opposite ends of plastic strapping, which is encircled around the package or bale, in order to ensure that the opposite ends of the plastic strapping do not exhibit any slipping or relative movement with respect to each other whereby the predeterminedly formed size or shape of the package or bale is able to be preserved or maintained. In accordance with various different embodiments of the present invention, different arrangements of the sealed joint, with respect to the opposite ends of the plastic strapping, are structured whereby enhanced frictional contact is effectively developed between the sealed joint and the opposite ends of the plastic strapping, or between the opposite ends of the plastic strapping per se, so as to in fact reduce the amount of slipperiness effectively defined between the opposite ends of the plastic strapping. In accordance with a still further embodiment of the present invention, the opposite ends of the plastic strapping are effectively locked within a tubular sleeve member, by means of a chain-link type insert, such that the opposite ends of the plastic strapping are positionally fixed with respect to each other.

The legs (8) of the closing element (7) can be pulled out of the recess (6, 6′) of the holding elements (5, 5′) to take off the tightening strap (4).

    摘要: A securing means for enclosing objects of varying size, shape, and materials that allows attachment of an electronic surveillance tag thereto. The securing means having an elongated strap portion extending from a buckle like attachment portion, whereby an end of the elongated portion is inserted into the attachment portion and thereby forms a closed loop. The object to be enclosed is maintained within the loop and the size of the loop can be adjusted by changing the point of fastening of the elongated portion to the attachment portion. To prevent the elongated portion from disconnecting, the elongated portion has a plurality of hitching means disposed thereon and they engage a latching means located on the attachment portion. A plurality of apertures are located medially on the elongated portion axially align with a hole defined by the attachment portion. A pin having a head portion and an extended portion is inserted through said hole and a selected aperture, said extended portion inserting into a locking electronic tag, whereby the elongated portion and the attaching portion are securely affixed between said head and said tag. Said tag communicating with a surveillance system to warn of the removal of the enclosed object from a predetermined region.

    摘要: Self-locking bundling ties for engagement about electrical cables, pipes or the like comprises a flat, metallic strap and a metallic head separably attached thereto. In the preferred form, the head is crimped to a folded-over end of the metallic strap. The head comprises a generally tubular housing with a generally planar locking insert slidably received in the housing cavity. The housing and insert include cooperative latching structure for holding the insert fixed in at least two positions relative to the housing. In a first position, the insert has an opening for receipt of the unattached end of the strap therethrough. Upon movement of the insert interiorly of the housing cavity to a second locked position, the insert opening with a portion of the strap end therethrough is moved interiorly of the housing and the strap end is deformed into a reverse bend to thereby lock the strap in the bundling tie head.

    摘要: A hose clamping device has a steel clamp band adapted to be tightened around an elastic hose in a ring-like form such that its opposite ends overlap each other. A tightening mechanism is provided on a portion of the band near the underlying end thereof and adapted to pull or push the overlying end, thereby tightening or loosening the band on the hose. A stopper is provided on a portion of the band ahead of the overlying end and is adapted to be contacted by the overlying end, so as to stop the advance of the same. The stopper is constituted by a tab-like portion cut out from a portion of the band and raised in such a manner that the upper surface thereof faces the advance of the overlying end, so as to be pressed down by the overlying end when the latter is pulled by the tightening means. Any excessive tightening by the tightening mechanism only causes the stopper to bend towards the cut out by the pressure applied by the overlying end of the band. Thus, no substantial reduction in the clamping effect is caused by the bending of stopper, thus assuring a stable clamping of the hose on, for example, a pipe end.
