摘要： A rail car tippler installation has an open-sided tippler with a rotatable structure (8) comprising a main longitudinal beam (16) mounted on end pivots (10, 18), said beam supporting a rail car platform (2) that substantially spans the distance between the end pivots. The main beam carries the weight of the rail car and platform during tipping and has pivot supports (30) for clamping beams (34) that are displaceably lockable to hold the rail car on the platform. The tipping axis is laterally offset from the platform in a manner that reduces the sweep radius of the tippler and the rise of the rail car during tipping. The installation includes a hopper (14) that is offset laterally oppositely to the tipping axis and has an entry opening that extends longitudinally as far as the end pivots.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for dumping the contents of a container. A container dumping apparatus according to the present invention includes a frame and a carrier positioned on the frame for movement relative to the frame. The carrier includes an arrangement for supporting the container to be dumped. An actuating device for moving the carrier between rest and final dumping positions includes a first tilting arrangement having a first portion and a second portion extensible/retractable relative to the first portion. At least one cable is anchored at an outer end to the carrier and at an inner end to the first portion of the first tilting arrangement. The extensible/retractable second portion of the first tilting arrangement is arranged to act upon the cable intermediate the anchored ends thereof to shorten the span of the cable extending between the carrier and the extensible/retractable second portion. The shortening of the span of the cable causes at least a portion of the carrier to raise and thereby tilt the container to an intermediate position between the rest and final dumping positions. A second tilting arrangement is connected to the first portion of the first tilting arrangement to displace the first portion for further tilting of the container to the final dumping position.

Each of the vehicle modules can include a container lifting means arranged to lift a container into the container receiving space and each of the vehicle modules can be moveable to adjust the spacing of the containers in the load handling device.

摘要： Embodiments of the present disclosure include systems and methods for collecting, storing, separating, and disposing of waste material from an oil and gas well site in order to enhance payload efficiency. An embodiment of a method, for example, may include introducing a waste material into an enhanced-payload mobile vessel positioned at the oil and gas well site, the waste material selected to include one or more of a sludge waste material, a solids-laden wastewater material, and a dry waste material. The method may further include transporting the waste material when positioned in the enhanced-payload mobile vessel along roadways to an off-site waste management facility. Additionally, the method may include dumping the waste material from the enhanced-payload mobile vessel by a site-based lifting mechanism into a receiving vessel at the off-site waste management facility thereby to dispose of the waste material at a reduced transportation cost.

摘要： A tipping adapter permits a cargo container, which is suspended from a hoisting device, such as a gantry cantilever crane, to be selectively tipped about an axis extending longitudinally through the container so that bulk material, such as coal, grain, etc., may be tipped from the container into a ship's hold or other receiving space. The adapter includes a drive support frame which connects to the crane or a crane-supported container spreader at the connection points normally used in connecting the container to the spreader. A pivotal frame connects to a container in the same manner in which the spreader connects to the container. The drive support and pivotal frames are pivotally engaged so that one or more drive motors, mounted on the drive support frame, can be used to selectively pivot the pivotal frame and thereby tip the container. Controls are placed at the crane control panel to permit selective container engagement and tipping, and interlocks are provided to prevent tipping of the container before it is properly engaged.
