The resilient supporting member includes a rocking support piece and a spring. When the recording paper sheets are inserted into the paper sheet feeding apparatus, the rocking support piece is angularly displaced about an axis extending perpendicularly to the paper sheet feeding direction and absorbs the impact force generated in inserting the recording paper sheets, whereby the rocking support piece is pressed against a predetermined holding portion by an upwardly directed spring force and the angle that the receiving face of the rocking support piece makes with the supporting face of the back plate is held at an angle &thgr;1 suitable for paper sheet feeding.

    摘要: The invention relates to a stacking device for flat postal items standing on edge. The stacking device comprises guide means for guiding the postal items supplied to it to a stacking position on a stacking base against a support wall on which the postal items are slowed down. Of course the present invention may apply to other types of articles as well. The stacking device is further provided with a stacker plate that can be displaced in the direction of stacking along a linear guide. The stacker plate cooperates with a spring element to produce a pressure force that is approximately constant across the zone of displacement and that is directed against the forming stack. The movable part of a damper element is fastened on the movable part of the spring element, said damper element being only active when a displacement directed away from the stacking position is exerted. If the spring element is configured as a constant force spring wound up on a coil, a oration damper is fastened on the coil that is effective only in the case of an unwinding movement in such a manner that the rotating parts and the stationary parts are interlinked.

    摘要: An apparatus for inverting and returning sheets from a printer (1) for large-sized paper comprises an inlet area (11) where the sheet is received from the printer (1), and an outlet area (12) where said sheet is returned to the printer (1). The apparatus comprises a frame (16) mountable on the support of the printer (1), and a guiding slit (18) in the inlet area, said guiding slit being defined by an upper wall (13) and a lower wall (17), where the lower wall (17) extends from the inlet (11) to a clamping slit (22) between a first pair of roller means (23, 24) for receiving and temporarily retaining the front edge of a sheet when seen in the advancing direction, said sheet being received through the inlet area. The lower guiding wall (17) is tiltable and adapted to be moved about a substantially horizontal axis from a sheet-supporting position to a downward sheet-releasing position. The frame (16) carries furthermore a second pair of roller means (33, 24) adapted to received the sheet from the first pair of roller means (23, 24) and to guide the sheet through the outlet area (12) and back to the printer (1).

    摘要: A tape head includes a two-stage system by which a spring is tensioned. In a first stage, the spring may be partially tensioned when a case, moving along a conveyor, contacts a first application roller. The spring may be additionally tensioned when the case, continuing to move along the conveyor, contacts the second stage. In one example of the second stage, a lever is moved by contact with the moving case. Movement of the lever moves tensions the spring further. By tensioning the spring in multiple stages, assemblies and/or processes, less force is applied by the case to the first application roller. Accordingly, it is less likely to deform the case. The tensioned spring provides energy to move a second application roller around a trailing edge of the case, and thereby press a cut end of the tape against a side of the case.

    摘要: The disclosure relates to separating and feeding previously printed document sheets from a stack with reduced inter-sheet document image smearing using a retard-type sheet separator-feeder. For duplex documents, the intermittent drive system for the retard feeder drives the sheet being fed downstream out of the retard nip for only a short initial feeding distance which is only a minor portion of the document dimension, then reverse drives the sheet in the upstream direction for only a short reverse distance sufficient to eject all the sheets from the retard nip other then the one being fed out. Meanwhile a nudger system feeding sheets from the stack to the retard nip is disengaged.     摘要: An apparatus for providing back tension onto a print media web comprises a plate having a post extended perpendicularly therefrom. The post is adapted to support a roll of print media thereon such that a web of the print media roll is paid out by rotation of the roll about the post. A constant-force spring is attached to a portion of the media plate at and has a handle coupled to an opposite end of the spring. A pressing element is coupled to the handle such that the spring is biased to urge the pressing element against the media supply roll to maintain the roll firmly in contact with the post during rotation of the roll. The force provided by the pressing element onto the media supply roll imparts sufficient back tension on the print media web to maintain a constant pay out rate. The present back tension apparatus provides a relatively simple mechanism that is readily adaptable for many conventional printers, such as a thermal transfer printer.
