Abstract:
A height access device enables motorized access to the driving station of a tower crane atop a mast formed of superposed mast elements. It includes a lift cabin installed inside the mast of the crane and movable vertically along the mast. The height access devices further includes a working platform positioned above and separably connected to the lift cabin. A coupling device provides a non-permanent connection of the working platform to the lift cabin and immobilizes the working platform relative to the mast at a required height. The height access device enables the crane driver to ascend and descend with the lift cabin alone when disconnected from the working platform and with the lift cabin and working platform together, particularly during the assembly and dismantling of the mast.
Abstract:
A marine knuckle boom crane includes a crane housing which is rotational relative to a pedestal about a vertical rotation axis and a knuckle boom assembly attached to the crane housing. The knuckle boom assembly includes a main boom, the inner end of which is connected pivotably about a first horizontal pivot axis to the crane housing; and a jib, the inner end of which is connected pivotably about a second horizontal pivot axis to the outer end of the main boom, wherein the jib is pivotable at least between an extended position in which the tip extends mainly forward from the main boom, and a folded position in which the jib is folded back, essentially parallel along the main boom. In order to position the jib with respect to the main boom, a tensioning member is provided extending between the crane housing and a curved extension guide connected to the jib.
Abstract:
Apparatus is disclosed for lifting and supporting articles during movement from place to place. The apparatus is supported by the chassis of a vehicle and includes a boom, hydraulic cylinder means to elevate and lower the boom, a winch and a box rest for supporting the lifted article. A pulley is mounted at the end of the boom and a cable adapted to be wound upon a winch drum is trained over the pulley. The box rest is so positioned on the chassis to readily receive and support the article which is lifted through joint action of the boom and winch.

Abstract:
A lifting device configured to autonomously position a wind turbine blade in such a way that it can be mounted on a wind turbine tower. The lifting device (1) comprises a boom structure (2) and is furthermore provided with a positioning device (4) which is connected to the boom structure and can be displaced along the latter. The positioning device comprises a mounting structure (4f) for detachably mounting the wind turbine blade on the positioning device. The boom structure (2) and displacement structure (4a) of the positioning device (4) form an assembly for the approximate positioning of the mounting structure (4f) with respect to the wind turbine tower. The positioning device (4) furthermore comprises additional means (4d, 4e) for accurately positioning the wind turbine blade with respect to the wind turbine tower.
Abstract:
A foldable crane comprising a cradle, a swivel post rotatably mounted on said cradle and a plurality of booms pivotally connected to each other and adapted for mounting in a narrow space between a cab and a rear body of a vehicle such as a truck. Each of said booms can be rotated about each of connecting pins between an extended aligned position and a folded position in which folded position a part of said booms is housed in an opening in the cradle. The opening can be made in large dimensions, if necessary, so that the change of the track position from the transporting position to the working position or vice versa is effected easily and quickly.

Abstract:
A pipelayer comprising a tractor vehicle having an extensible boom pivotally mounted to the vehicle and extended to one side thereof is provided with a hydraulic circuit for performing all operations of the boom and accessories. The hydraulic circuitry comprises a low volume source of fluid selectively directable to a first plurality of the motors of the machine for operating these motors at a low speed and a second source of fluid including circuits for selectively directing the fluid to a second plurality of motors including some of the first motors. Two motors within the circuit may be operated from either of the sources of fluid. Valve means are interconnected for simultaneous control for selectively directing fluid from either of the sources to the two motors.
Abstract:
A crawler tractor having lifting means for pipe-laying, said lifting means comprising a lifting jib articulated laterally to the tractor frame by means of a universal joint, the jib being movable under the action of a plurality of hydraulic jacks for producing the pivotal movement of the jib in a transverse vertical plane and movement in a plane parallel to the longitudinal axis of the tractor in order to displace the centre of gravity of the lifted load.
Abstract:
This invention relates generally to a method for making a deck for use in construction. In one embodiment, the method includes, but is not limited to, positioning a first box tube substantially parallel to a second box tube; attaching a plate to the first box tube and the second box tube, the plate extending between the first box tube and the second box tube; coupling a hydraulic cylinder to the plate; slidably inserting a first extension member at least partially into the first box tube; slidably inserting a second extension member at least partially into the second box tube, the first and second extension members having a beam extending therebetween; coupling the hydraulic cylinder to the beam; positioning a platform having one or more wheels on the plate and over the hydraulic cylinder such that the platform is rollable relative to the plate; attaching the platform to the beam such that the platform is operable to retractably extend beyond an edge of a floor of a building in conjunction with the first and second extension members in response to actuation of the at least one hydraulic cylinder; and forming a rectangular cuboid basket comprised of six faces with a connecting mechanism on a top face.
