Abstract: Systems for inferring spatially-varying regulatory networks, such as gene regulatory networks, are provided. Optimization processes are performed and include regularization minimization processes that rely on one or both of a smoothly-changing minimization process and a sparsely-changing minimization process, for example to learn sparsely- or smoothly-changing Gaussian Markov random fields (GMRF). The systems are further able to convert spatially-varying data, such as spatial transcriptomic data, into spatio-temporal regulatory networks.

The gasification reactor includes a biomass input configured to receive feedstock, a gasifying medium inlet adjacent to the biomass input and configured to receive a gasifying medium, and a reactor vessel configured to gasify the feedstock with the gasifying medium to generate syngas and biochar. The reactor vessel is disposed downstream of the gasifying medium inlet. The reactor vessel may comprise cement along an inner surface of the reactor vessel. The reactor vessel may further comprise a blower coupled to the gasifying medium inlet to drive the gasifying medium into the reactor vessel. The reactor vessel may further comprise a biomass movement instrument to regulate the flow of the feedstock.

In other embodiments, provided herein are nano-satellite complexes comprising: a core nanoparticle complex comprising a biocompatible coating surrounding a nanoparticle core; a plurality of satellite particles attached to, or absorbed to, said biocompatible coating; a plurality of antigenic peptides conjugated to, or absorbed to, said satellite particles; and a plurality of LIGHT (TNFSF14) peptides conjugated to, or absorbed to, said satellite particles. In some embodiments, administration of the nanosatellite complexes to a subject with cancer achieves long-term cancer remission (e.g., when combined with an immune checkpoint inhibitor, such as αPD1).

Abstract: One commonality among most vehicular security attacks reported to date is that they ultimately require write access to the CAN bus. In order to cause targeted and intentional changes in the vehicle behavior, malicious CAN injection attacks require knowledge of the CAN message format. However, since this format is proprietary to OEMs and can differ even among different models of a single make of vehicle, one must manually reverse-engineer the CAN message format of each vehicle they target. To mitigate this difficulty, an automated CAN message translator is presented.

Abstract: A method is disclosed for suppressing propagation of a metal in a solid state electrolyte during cycling of an electrochemical device including the solid state electrolyte and an electrode comprising the metal. One method comprises forming the solid state electrolyte such that the solid state electrolyte has a structure comprising a plurality of grains of a metal-ion conductive material and a grain boundary phase located at some or all of grain boundaries between the grains, wherein the grain boundary phase suppresses propagation of the metal in the solid state electrolyte during cycling. Another method comprises forming the solid state electrolyte such that the solid state electrolyte is a single crystal.

Abstract: Methods comprising an integrated, multiscale artificial intelligence-based system that reconstructs drug-specific pharmacogenomic networks and their constituent functional sub-networks are described. The system uses features of the functional topology of the three-dimensional architecture of drug-modulated spatial contacts in chromatin space. Discovery of a drug pharmacogenomic network is made through the selection of candidate SNPs by imputation, determination of the predicted causality of the SNPs using machine learning and deep learning, use of the causal SNPs to probe the spatial genome as determined by chromosome conformation capture analysis, combining targeted genes controlled by the same cell and tissue-specific enhancers, and reconstruction of the pharmacogenomic network using diverse data sources and metrics based on the results of genome-wide association studies. Knowledge-based segmentation methods are used to deconstruct the pharmacogenomic network into its constituent efficacy and adverse event sub-networks for applications in clinical decision support, drug re-purposing, and in silico drug discovery.

Abstract: An interference removal technique, called Wavelet-Adaptive Interference Cancellation for Underdetermined Platforms (WAIC-UP), is provided to effectively eliminate stray magnetic field signals using multiple magnetometers, without requiring prior knowledge of the spectral content, location, or magnitude of the interference signals. WAIC-UP capitalizes on the distinct spectral properties of various interference signals and employs an analytical method to separate them from ambient magnetic field in the wavelet domain.
