    摘要： Metal complex dyes comprising a metalizable azo compound represented by one of Formulas [I] through [IV]: ##STR1## In Formulas [I] through [IV], Ps represents a phosphono group in the form of a free acid or a salt; Sf represents a sulfo group in the form of a free acid or a salt; m is 0, 1 or 2. R.sup.1 represents a hydrogen atom or an amino group; X represents a hydroxyl group, an alkoxy group having a carbon number of 1 or 2 or a carboxyl group. Y represents a hydroxyl group, an alkoxy group having a carbon number of 1 or 2, a carboxyl group or a methyl group; R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom or a hydroxyl group; A represents a phenyl group or naphthyl group selected from the group comprising the following 1 through 4: ##STR2## In the above formulas 1 through 4, Sf has the same definition as above; n is 0, 1 or 2. R.sup.3 represents a hydroxyl group or a carboxyl group; R.sup.4 represents a hydroxyl group, a carboxyl group or an amino group; R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 independently represent a hydroxyl group or a carboxyl group; R.sup.7 and R.sup.8 independently represent a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group or an amino group. B has the same definition as A above except that R.sup.3 represents a hydroxyl group, a carboxyl group or an amino group. R.sup.9 represents a hydrogen atom, a methyl group, an alkoxy group having a carbon number of 1 or 2 or a sulfo group in the form of a free acid or a salt; D represents a coupling component residue having a metalizable hydroxyl group at the position adjoining to the azo group.Use of these metal complex dyes makes it possible to dye metal-tanned leather with good permeability and excellent color fastness to rubbing and color fastness to light.

    摘要： 1:2 Cobalt complex dyes of azo compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein D is a phenyl or naphthyl radical which is substituted by sulphonic acid groups, halogen atoms, alkyl, alkoxy, nitro, cyano, acylamino or arylazo groups or is unsubstituted, and R is a hydrogen atom, a sulpho group, a halogen atom or a methyl group, and wherein the total number of sulpho groups present is 1 to 3. The dyes are suitable for dyeing polyamide materials such as wool, silk, synthetic polyamides and leather, particularly the latter. The dyes give full brown shades of good covering power with excellent fastness to light.

    摘要： A process for dyeing grain leather with anionic dyes under the conventional conditions for exhaustion methods, in the presence of two specific surfactants. The combined use of the two surfactants results, in the case of cationically tanned (essentially mineral-tanned) leather, in an improvement in the levelness and dye penetration and in the case of anionically tanned (synthetics-tanned or vegetable-tanned) or retanned leather, in an increase in depth of the color.The two surfactants are(a) an aliphatic alcohol of 9 to 24 carbon atoms oxyethylated with from 3 to 120 ethylene oxide units and(b) an aliphatic amine of 8 to 20 carbon atoms oxyethylated with from 6 to 80 ethylene oxide units,and they are used in a weight ratio of a:b of from 1:4 to 4:1 and in a total amount of from 0.3 to 3%, based on shaved weight.

    摘要： Compounds of the formula ##STR1## in which A--X-- is the radical of a diazo component,X-- is ortho to the azo group and is a metallizable substituent or a substituent convertible to a metallizable group,Y is --OH or --NH.sub.2,Z is methyl or carboxy,R is hydrogen, halogen, methyl or sulpho,andB is the radical of a coupling component of the heterocyclic, acyclic active methylene or monocyclic benzene series, which coupling component of the monocyclic benzene series contains an amino and/or hydroxy group which groups may be alkylated or acylated, and--N.dbd.N--B is bound to the 3- or 4-position of ring D,which compounds contain at least one water-solubilizing group,and metal complexes thereof, with the proviso that when the compounds are unmetallized, B is other than amonocyclic benzene coupling component radical. The metal complexes are useful as dyes for the dyeing and printing of anionic dyeable.
