    摘要: This invention relates to an immersion process for structures whereby the structure to be immersed is equipped with at least two groups of floats each comprising at least two individual floats in which, by using elongated floats attached vertically to the structure to be immersed and capable of being ballasted or unballasted by the filling or emptying of a central compartment forming the principal ballast, an operation is carried out alternately on each one of the floats in each group consisting either in the ballasting of the said float followed by unballasting and by the simultaneous release of a given length of the chain or cable connecting the structure to the float, or solely in the release of a given length of the chain or cable, the associated float being empty and its position in relation to the structure being fixed during this operation, and in which this operation is carried out simultaneously or alternately on each group of floats until the structure is immersed in the proper position. Both the safety and the performance of the immersion system are thus improved.

    摘要: The invention relates to reversible air-punching mechanisms for making holes in soil by compaction. According to the invention, the mechanism comprises a hollow housing in which a striker reciprocated by compressed air, strikes the housing and thus moves it through the ground. The compressed air is delivered into the working chambers through an air-feed bushing which is provided with two rows of ports getting alternately in line with the corresponding rows of ports in the hollow slide valve accommodated in the bushing as said slide valve turns around its longitudinal axis. For turning the slide valve, it is connected with the bushing by a projection which moves along an enclosed shaped recess during the reciprocating motion of the slide valve when the mechanism is reversed by cutting off momentarily the supply of compressed air to the mechanism.

    摘要: A method of installing a structure on a bed of a sea, estuary or river from a floating installation vessel is described. In such a method a plurality of attachment piles and corresponding installation rigs are attached to the structure prior to deployment of the structure. In addition, respective umbilical control cables are connected to the installation rigs prior to deployment of the structure. The structure is deployed from a floating vessel to a bed of a sea, estuary or river, such that, when the structure is located on the bed, the umbilical control cables do not support the structure or installation rigs. A single installation operation for each attachment pile is performed, in which operation an installation rig is activated so as to install fully the corresponding attachment pile in the bed, without removal of the umbilical control cable or the installation rig therefrom.

Chambers are formed between rotating planetary rollers which move within the opening and the belt. The belt has segmented lobes formed thereon which are moved about the drive rollers to compress the fluid in the chambers cyclically to perform work.     摘要: A pile loading system for piles which are driven into the earth under a body of water wherein a buoyant vessel such as a barge or system of barges, is pinned to at least one spud positioned in the earth below the water and a rigid jacking frame is mounted on the vessel to extend above a pile. The vessel is ballasted, as by flooding, to impose a compressive load on the spud and a jack is then positioned between the pile and the frame and is actuated to transfer the load from the spud to the pile. The load may be applied for the purpose of testing the pile or for driving it further into the earth.
