    摘要： A baluster apparatus, for removably locking a baluster in a balustrade having opposite upper and lower surfaces, having a pair of connector bases, each comprising a base member having a bottom surface for mounting to the balustrade surfaces, a top surface; a wall extending from the top surface and defining an inner wall surface, and an outer wall surface that tapers inwardly from the top surface; a baluster having baluster ends, wherein the wall of each connector base is configured to laterally receive a baluster end for a close fit there between, wherein the baluster is insertable into and removable from the connector bases without removing the connector bases from the one of the upper or lower surfaces or without moving the upper or lower surfaces apart; and a pair of connector covers each being slidable along a portion of the baluster, each connector cover comprising a tubular member having an upper portion defining a first opening configured to fit around the baluster, a lower portion defining a second opening configured to closely fit around the base member, and an internal wall configured to closely abut the outer wall surface of the wall and having a complementary taper to the outer wall surface so as to urge the wall toward the end of the baluster to provide frictional engagement between the inner wall surface and the end of the baluster when the second opening is slid onto the base member.

A panel is positioned between the first vertical leg and the second vertical leg. A bar is positioned between the panel and the second vertical leg, the bar having first and second surfaces opposite one another that are not parallel with one another, causing the female and male profiles to engage by tilting the second vertical leg outward from the panel and about the fulcrum.

    摘要： A fixing device for fixing a baluster to a handrail includes a fixing body having an abutment plate adapted to abut against the handrail, and a coupler projecting from the abutment plate. The abutment plate has two fixing holes formed respectively near two opposite sides of the coupler. The fixing device further has a baluster connector having a pivot end connected pivotally to the coupler, and a sleeve end opposite to the pivot end and adapted to extend around the baluster. A locking element is disposed at the sleeve end to secure the baluster connector to the baluster. Two screws are respectively extending through the fixing holes.

    摘要： A railing system includes a set of vertically disposed baluster assemblies and a plurality of railing members. The baluster assemblies include a lower base member receiving a pair of opposing vertical plates. Each of the pairs of plates have opposing aligned pairs of throughbores, each pair movably holding therein one of a set of insert members. Railing members each slide through adjacent pairs of insert members to form a wall of spaced apart railing members. Each railing member passes through the insert members in each of the baluster assemblies and the insert members holding the railing member pivot to align member throughbores at an angle from horizontal that is dependent upon a vertical difference of adjacent ones of the fixed base members.

    摘要： Stairway balusters are described which includes baluster extensions for ease in use, adjustability and convenience during installation, replacement or remodeling. The various extensions illustrated all allow the baluster shaft to adjust longitudinally. If a single baluster is being replaced on site, the baluster can be shortened using the adjustable features while removing. Also, during retrofitting the described method allows a baluster to be shortened, positioned in place and then lengthened to the desired height without undue modification or effort by the installer. Various extension embodiments are demonstrated.
