摘要： Compound fenestration assembly mull joints using joining strips and compound fenestration assemblies using those mull joints are described herein. The joining strips used in the compound fenestration assembly mull joints described herein are configured to improve the strength of the mull joints in which they are used and, therefore, the ability of the resulting compound fenestration assemblies to maintain integrity when subjected to, e.g., wind loads and other forces is improved. The benefits of the mull joints and the compound fenestration assemblies incorporating them as described herein may be enhanced with an increase in the number of adjacent fenestration units (and, therefore, mull joints) in a given compound fenestration assembly.

Therefore, the door frame structure 1 does not follow relative story displacement of the wall surface 4 caused, by lateral vibration in the event of an earthquake, so that deformation of the door frame structure 1 is minimized, and a door 31 can be opened and closed even in an emergency.

摘要： Disclosed is a system of interlocking door frame and wall panels for modular building units. Both the door frame panel and the wall panels are provided for easy installation into the skeletal frame of the modular building unit, and are provided with mating male and female connecting edges on opposite sides of each panel. This allows the door frame panel to mate with an adjacent wall panel in the same manner in which adjacent wall panels mate with one another, ensuring a clean, finished appearance for the connecting edges, a strong, reinforced frame having long durability, and a connection having the same physical, structural integrity as the connections between adjacent wall panel units. The door frame panel itself is particularly configured to receive a traditional, commercially available steel door frame and door assembly, but allows fitment of such commercially available steel door frame and door assembly without cutting a wall panel to receive that frame.

摘要： A mull binder system includes a mull binder that couples a first and second window frame and provides a seal along the grooves. The first window frame has an exterior side, an opposing interior side and at least a first side and a second side extending perpendicular to the exterior side and interior side, the first side including a groove therein. A second window frame has an exterior side, an opposing interior side and a first side and a second side extending perpendicular to the exterior side and interior side, the second side including a groove therein. The mull binder has a first and second arm coupled thereto. Each arm has a plurality of flexible barbs extending therefrom. The barbs on the first arm and second arm are received within the groove of the first window frame and second window frame respectively.

摘要： A modular fenestration system includes a collection of standardized functional units such as double hung window units, casement window units, picture window units, transom units, and the like. The functional units all share common sightlines, common glass set-back, common interfaces, common design language, and are sized according to a unique modular or incremental sizing grid. The sizing grid specifies individual window units in terms of the rough opening size in which they are designed to be installed. Individual functional units are easily combinable in a vast array of combinations to create a large number of possible composite window units. The system also includes a collection of interior and exterior trim units, grilles, and hardware in various architectural styles that can be attached to installed standardized functional units via the common interfaces to match the architecture of a particular home or building.

摘要： A connector (15) for connecting modules together comprises plastic connector member (16), an expander rod (17) and a threaded expander rod displacer (18). The connector member (16) has spaced dovetail style enlargements (19) on one side and a full length dovetail enlargement (20) on the other side. The connector member (16) is designed to slide in the confronting slots with the wasted sections (21) of the expander (17) located inside each of the sections (19). Once in position the threaded expander rod displacer (18) is used to axially displace the expander (17) to force the enlarged sections of the expander (17) into the sections (19) thus engaging the slot and at the same time biasing the modules together.
