摘要： An apparatus for providing protection to a curb or a ledge against damage caused by physical contact to the curb or the ledge during performance of a sporting activity is disclosed. The apparatus includes a top component and a side component extending from the top component at an angle within an angle range of 60°-90°, wherein the top component and the side component are formed of steel, wherein the top component and side component are configured to be placed on the curb or the ledge. In some instances, the top component and the side component are integrally formed from a single sheet of 14 gauge cold-rolled steel, and wherein a bend is formed in the single sheet of steel to form the angle between the top component and side component. In some instances, the angle is 75° or 90°.

The floor plates, the curb side wall forming panel supports, the stanchions, the end plates, and the wall attachment plates remain as part of the formed curb wall.

摘要： A combination crash rail and railing system provides walking-aid support along a wall and protects the wall from impact damage. The system includes a distinct handrail and crash rail components, and one or more wall-mounting brackets. The handrail and crash rail components are independently mounted along the wall on common wall-mounting brackets that are secured to the wall. The wall-mounting brackets have a universal design that allows flexibility in the choice of the types of handrail and crash rail components that can be installed. In one universal design, a wall-mounting bracket includes a base plate, which can be secured to a wall surface, and separate handrail- and crash rail-mounting flanges that are disposed at the ends of a pair of arms that extend from the base plate.

The cover includes at least one substantially straight portion of substantially uniform cross section along its length and having a face portion overlying the retainer and an integral transition portion that is integral with the straight portion has an end wall that curves smoothly away from the face portion of the straight portion from a rounded juncture with the face portion and overlies and conceals the end of the retainer. The integral transition portion may be configured as an end cap or a wall return piece that forms a transition between the straight portion and a wall surface or as a corner piece that joins sections of wall protectors mounted on walls that intersect at a corner.

摘要： A system for protecting the body and finish of a vehicle from colliding with the walls and posts of a garage has foam plastic padding attached to the wall and surrounding the posts. The material on the walls is a laminated polyethylene plank, with a backing of contact adhesive, so that it may be easily applied without tools. The padding for the columns is a hollow cylinder formed of the same material as the wall padding, but is formed into hollow cylindrical sheathes, with a slit along the entire major axis of the cylinder so that the sheathes may be forced onto the columns without modification. The cylindrical sheathes have an elastic memory, so that they may be deformed when inserting them onto the posts, but return to their cylindrical shape thereafter.
