摘要： Disclosed is a turntable ladder system mounted on a rescue vehicle. The system includes a turntable ladder mounted on top of a rescue vehicle and comprising an arm that can be bent downwardly to the ground in front of the driver's cabin of the vehicle, and an operator stand located at the ladder for operating the ladder. The operator stand includes a control for controlling movement of the arm. This turntable ladder system also includes a manually operable confirmation button located on the driver's cabin. The confirmation button is operatively connected to the control such that the bending movement of the arm can be controlled by the control only if the confirmation button is operated.

摘要： A bracket system enabling secure attachment and access of a ladder thereto a flatbed type trailer used with tractor-trailer rigs is herein disclosed, comprising two (2) generally square metal plates. One (1) side of the metal plate is provided with a narrow “U”-shaped cut-out which slides over a rub rail feature typically provided around the perimeter of a flatbed trailer. The exterior portion of each plate is then bolted to the side rails of a ladder. The plates are located so the ladder is completely supported and the bottom of the ladder is positioned approximately one (1) foot off of grade to allow use of the bracket system on any type of terrain.

摘要： Provided is a braking system for use with an extension ladder having a base section and a fly section movable relative to the base section via an adjustment rope. The braking system includes a first and a second position. When tension is applied to the rope, the spring mechanism allows upwards or downwards movement of the fly section relative to the base section. When tension is removed from the rope, the spring mechanism slows or resists upwards or downwards movement of the fly section relative to the base section regardless of the fly section's position relative to the base section.

摘要： A ladder locking device having a harness and a lock shuttle for retaining a ladder on a rack or other storage device. The harness having a pair of parallel spaced apart arms and an intermediary arm integrally formed with the spaced apart arms. The lock shuttle having a pair of harness holes adapted to receive the pair of spaced apart arms of the harness and a pair of thumb release assemblies adapted to retain the harness in the lock shuttle and to release the harness from the lock shuttle. The intermediary arm and the lock shuttle each have a flexible pad. The pad of the lock shuttle is retained in a pad holder and there is an adjustment knob in mechanical communication with the pad holder that moves the pad holder from an expanded position to a retracted position to securely retain a ladder on a storage device.

摘要： There is provided a ladder working limit based ladder stopping device for a vehicle equipped with a vertically and horizontally swingable and extensible ladder (or a fire engine truck), wherein a working limit of the ladder is preset on the basis of an extended length of the ladder corresponding to a particular vertical angle assumed by the ladder, so that when the combined situation of the vertical angle and extended length of the ladder reaches said preset condition, the operating mechanism for the ladder is automatically returned to its neutral position while actuating a warning device and turning on a marker lamp, the operating mechanism being then operated toward the safety side, whereupon the marker lamp is turned off to indicate that the ladder is now safe.
