    Abstract: A tubular joint. The tubular joint may include a perforated section, a filter section, a packer, and a chemical dispersion system. The perforated section includes a first plurality of orifices to allow fluid communication between a bore of the tubular joint and a first area surrounding the tubular joint proximate the perforated section. The filter section may include a filter assembly to filter fluid flowing into the bore via a second plurality of orifices from a second area proximate the filter section. The packer may be operable to isolate the first area from the second area when the tubular string is disposed within the well. The chemical dispersion system is disposed adjacent to the filter section, includes a first control line and a first dispersion manifold, and is operable to disperse treatment fluids proximate the filter section to at least reduce a buildup of blockages along the filter assembly.

    Abstract: A sand control assembly includes a base pipe having at least one perforation, a housing, and at least one inflow control device integrated within the housing via an associated ring secured to the housing and the base pipe, the at least one inflow control device and the associated ring creating a seal. The housing is disposed around the exterior of the base pipe, and the housing is secured to a bypass ring at a first end of the housing and secured to the base pipe at a second end of the housing via a weld end ring. A longitudinal axis of the at least one inflow control device is parallel to a longitudinal axis of the base pipe.

    Abstract: A technique facilitates joining of components without subsequent heat treatments. The components are joined by using a friction stir process which establishes a desired friction stir region at an appropriate location to securely join the desired components. In well applications, various components of sand screen assemblies may be joined by the friction stir process. For example, metal sand screen components may be securely coupled with a corresponding metal base pipe. The joining technique enables retention of the corrosion resistant properties of the materials without applying post weld heat treatments and/or other subsequent treatments.

    Abstract: A technique facilitates the production of well fluid. According to an embodiment, an inflow assembly may be deployed downhole with, for example, completion equipment used in the production of well fluid. The inflow assembly comprises a first inflow control device and a second inflow control device disposed in series along a flow path routed between an exterior and an interior of the inflow assembly. As well fluid flows into an interior of the inflow assembly along the flow path, the first inflow control device and the second inflow control device perform different tasks with respect to controlling fluid flow. The different tasks may be selected to, for example, facilitate production of well fluid while protecting the completion equipment.

    Abstract: A technique facilitates production of desired well fluids. A well string may comprise a plurality of well screen joints which are assembled for receipt of a well fluid from a desired well zone along a wellbore. The well screen joints are constructed and assembled in a manner which also creates a flow path to a common inflow area. At this common inflow area, the well fluid may be directed through a port or ports into an interior production passage of the well string for production to a desired collection area. The port or ports at the common inflow area may be selectively closed to block inflow of fluid from the plurality of well screen joints.
