    摘要: A stop valve includes a connection-switching part capable of switching a connection state between a rod part having an end portion which is connected to a valve disc and an actuator part which linearly moves the rod part. The connection-switching part includes a concave engaging part which is recessed the rod part, a casing having an accommodation space joined to the concave engaging part formed therein, a plurality of frame pieces, a sleeve part which is movable between the frame piece accommodation position and a frame piece detachment position, and a gas introduction part through which a gas is introduced into the accommodation space. The sleeve part moves from the frame piece detachment position to the frame piece accommodation position using the gas. The casing is in contact with the frame pieces at the frame piece accommodation position when moving toward the second side in the central axis direction.

    摘要: A trip control system for use with, for example, turbines, includes a porting manifold that supports and provides fluid to two or more trip manifolds, each of which includes a bleed circuit having two or more bleed valves connected in parallel between a trip header line and a return or dump line to bleed the hydraulic fluid pressure from the trip header line to thereby cause a trip. The bleed valves of each of the tripping manifolds are actuated by one or more control valves under control of a controller. The trip control system is doubly redundant in that the trip control system includes redundant trip manifolds operating in parallel so that each of the trip manifolds is able to be used to independently engage a trip of the turbine and each of the trip manifolds includes redundant sets of valves and other trip components that enable the trip manifold to operate to engage a trip of the turbine in the presence of a failure of one of the sets of components on a trip manifold, or while various components of the trip manifold are being tested.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for turbine overspeed protection, useful for steam and gas turbines, is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a spring-loaded rod held by a plurality of energized solenoids in an operating position any time the turbine's shaft rotational speed is less than a trip rotational speed set-point. When the rotational speed reaches the trip rotational speed set-point, both solenoids are de-energized and the spring-loaded rod moves to provide turbine trip. Increased reliability of the solenoids is provided by compressing the spring during the resetting of the rod with an additional electromechanical actuator and by using a plurality of solenoids, each of which is able to provide the force required to hold the spring in its compressed state.

The method comprises: in a normal mode, enabling a normal interruption signal for interrupting the fuel flow in response to a normal shutdown signal; and in an emergency mode, enabling an emergency interruption signal for interrupting the fuel flow in response to at least the normal shutdown signal and an emergency shutdown signal having transient characteristics. The normal shutdown signal has a given normal value and the emergency shutdown signal has a peak value substantially larger than the given normal value, whereby the fuel flow interrupting occurs faster in response to the emergency shutdown signal than in response to the normal shutdown signal.

    摘要: A method and apparatus are disclosed for preventing overspeed of a hot gas expander and its resultant load when the load (or a portion of it) is shed suddenly. In this situation, power applied by the expander to the shaft must be reduced, but normal feedback to the speed controller may be too slow to be effective. The load rejection may be sensed by a feedforward system before a significant speed increase is detected by the speed control loop. For this approach, the expander can be instrumented with either a flow measurement device, a downstream pressure, or a downstream temperature. Inlet pressure and inlet temperature are required. The method uses the characteristic map describing the expander (shaft power versus mass flow rate) along with a feedforward control action to anticipate the speed increase. By using dimensional analysis, the characteristic curves will collapse into single curves describing the parameters of reduced flow, reduced power, and pressure ratio. Speed increase can now be largely avoided by employing the resultant values from any of the pairs of reduced power relationships (reduced power versus reduced flow rate squared, reduced power versus pressure ratio, and reduced power versus temperature ratio). The reduced flow rate needed to keep the expander and its loads from increasing speed can now be correlated to a valve position resulting in the reduced flow required to maintain speed. This valve position setpoint is applied as an open loop step change.

    摘要: An apparatus for preventing a turbine from exceeding a predetermined value of a monitored physical magnitude, the apparatus including an over-center toggle lever (3) pivotally mounted on a pivot point (6) on a stationary frame (7), the lever being capable of occupying a tripped position or a released position. In the cocked position, one arm (4) of the lever (3) presses against a stop (8) provided with a unit (20) which controls steam admission units to the turbine, the lever (3) moves away from the stop, steam is cut off, while the end (14) of the other arm (5) is pivotally mounted on the end of a connecting rod (10) which is pivotally mounted at its other end on a pin (11) which is integral with a piston (12) which a spring (16) pushes away. A mass (2) strikes the lever (3) which moves to the tripped position if the monitored magnitude exceeds the predetermined value. Due to the fact that the frame (7) and apparatus assembly is resilient, the lever can be tripped even if the piston (12) seizes in the associated cylinder (15). The apparatus of the invention is a high-security apparatus.
