    摘要: A fan control system for a variable pitch fan of a work vehicle includes a blade pitch module that adjust a pitch of a plurality of blades of the variable pitch fan to generate airflow in a first direction. A reversing module selectively commands a fan reversal that includes instructing the blade pitch module to temporarily adjust the pitch of the plurality of blades to generate airflow in a second direction. A first timer module, in response to the reversing module commanding the fan reversal, resets and increments a first timer and compares the first timer to a first threshold. A first reversal prevention module, in response to the first timer being less than the first threshold, prevents the reversing module from commanding a fan reversal by indicating that a first type of fan reversal is not permitted.

    摘要: A variable pitch fan blade mechanism, particularly well suited for automotive applications, wherein the blade pitch is compliantly responsive to selective actuation of a linear actuator. A linear actuator is disposed in the fan shaft composed of an electric drive component drivingly engaged with a follower component, a set of fan blades resiliently attached to a head of the follower component, and a push assembly connected to the fan shaft composed of a push plate and a plurality of push rods, one push rod for each fan blade. Each push rod engages its respective fan blade adjacent an edge thereof. The fan blades are resiliently biased toward the push rods such that axial movement of the push rods in response to actuation of the linear actuator results in compliant changes of pitch of the blades.

    摘要: The temperature of a machine component is controlled by transferring heat generated by a torque converter under restricted conditions to the component. The machine includes a circulating fluid system configured to transfer heat from the torque converter to the remotely positioned machine component. A controller is configured to sense the temperature of the component, and to restrict motion of the torque converter turbine when the sensed temperature is below a desired temperature. Heat generated by the torque converter under the restricted condition is transferred through the circulating fluid system to the remote component, such as the machine power source, to control the temperature thereof.
