    摘要: Vane pump mechanical losses are reduced by removing vane friction losses and replacing them with lower magnitude journal bearing fluid film viscous drag losses. A freely rotating cam ring is supported by a journal bearing. A relatively low sliding velocity is imposed between the cam ring and the vanes. This permits the use of less expensive and less brittle materials in the pump by allowing the pump to operate at much higher speeds without concern for exceeding vane tip velocity limits.

    摘要: A rotary fluid machine 10 has a rotor 12, a stator 14, and a plurality of gates. The rotor 12 and stator 14 are rotatable relative to each other and arranged one inside the other to define a working chamber 18 there between. Gates 16 are supported in radial gate slots 20 formed in the rotor 12 and cyclically extend from and retract into the gate slots 20 as the rotor 12 rotates about stator 14. A plurality of demountable lobes is supported on an outer circumferential surface 24 of stator 14. The surface 24 forms a surface of the working chamber 18. Circumferential surface 24 is composed of an intermediate surface 48 which extends in an axial direction and opposite curved surfaces 46. The gate 16 has opposite rounded corners 130 separated by an axial planar surface 132. The shape and configuration of the gate 16 and corresponding is made to match that of the outer circumferential surface 24 so that when the axial surface 132 lies substantially adjacent and parallel to intermediate surface 48 each of the curved surfaces 130 lie closely adjacent to and substantially parallel with the concavely curved surfaces 46.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a vane pump with variable discharge volume, and comprising a pump housing; a cam ring having an elliptical cross-section for its inner circumference and outer circumference to form a compression chamber wherein a compression medium is compressed, and is accommodated in said pump housing so that it may rote; a rotor hat is accommodated such that a plurality of vanes may appear frequently on the outer circumference to undergo rotations in the compression chamber of said cam ring and compress said compression medium; and a cam ring rotation controller that contacts the outer circumference of said cam ring, and rotates said cam ring if the discharge pressure of said compression medium is equal to or more than its pressure setting and stops the rotation of said cam ring if the discharge pressure of said compression medium is less than its pressure setting to control rotations of said cam ring. Accordingly, the rotation and stoppage of rotation of the cam ring is accomplished based on changes in the discharge pressure, to enable variation in discharge volumes, and enhancement of discharge efficiency.

The journal sleeve is fixed to the shaft for rotation therewith and includes a flexible joint connection with the shaft to permit self-alignment of the shaft and bearing.

    摘要: An example vane pump comprises a shaft driving a rotor. The rotor has a plurality of vane grooves, with a vane received in each of the plurality of vane grooves, and an under vane chamber for communicating a pressurized fluid into the grooves to bias the vanes radially outwardly of the rotor. A cam ring is positioned radially outwardly of the rotor. The cam ring is free to rotate with the rotor through friction from the vanes as the rotor rotates. An inlet delivers a fluid to be pumped into an inlet chamber, and an outlet receives the fluid pumped by the vane pump. An outlet for the fluid biasing the vanes communicates to a main outlet through a passage including a valve to increase the pressure of the fluid in the grooves.
