摘要: The present invention relates to a gear pump having a housing that has an inflow for the liquid to be conveyed, that has an outflow for the conveyed liquid, and that has a pump chamber in which the gear or gears for conveying the liquid are present, with at least one bearing position being present in the housing, in which bearing position at least one gear is rotatably received, wherein the inflow is in a different plane than the outflow; and wherein at least one first flushing passage that extends up to the bearing position(s) is in direct or indirect fluid communication with the inflow and/or with the outflow.

摘要: A dialysis machine for the removal of toxic substances from biological fluids with agents for the decalcification of a dialysis liquid circulation is disclosed. The dialysis machine allows measurement of the degree of calcification of the dialysis liquid through the use of a blood leak detector or by measuring the dialysis machine pump flow or pump voltage. The invention also includes a process for automatically decalcifying the dialysis liquid circulation when a predetermined degree of calcification of the dialysis machine is measured.

摘要: A rotary pump has a trochoidal member and a trochoidal rotary piston which preferably forms a gap seal with the trochoidal surface of the housing so that damage to blood cells and the like is avoided when the pump is used as an artificial heart or to assist circulation. The rotor is jounaled on an eccentric within a housing which may be the casing of an electric motor for driving the pump. The motor and its speed reducer, preferably planetary gearing, are disposed wholly within the rotor.

摘要: Described are pumps structured for moving fluids with pulsatile flow. The pumps lack valves and pistons and provide pulsatile flow through the gentle rotation of a single, one-piece, sliding vane. The vane is situated inside a slot of a rotary cylinder positioned in a hollow central opening of a housing. Generally, the vane makes minimal contact with the walls of the housing. A gap positioned between the vane and the walls and provides pulsatile fluid movement through the pump with low shear stress on the fluid. Also described are fluidic systems connected to the pumps and methods of operating the pumps and systems.

摘要: A rotary piston pump for the displacement of blood has a single-lobe trochoidal surface along the peripheral wall of a housing and an eccentrically displaced rotary piston having a pair of opposite edges confronting this surface. The edges confronting the surface are rounded of circular arc curvature with a radius less than the equidistant between the theoretical epitrochoid of the orbits of these edges and the surface. A gap seal is thus provided which prevents damage to blood vessels when the pump is used for the circulation of blood, e.g. in an artificial heart.
