Abstract: A vane pump includes a casing, a rotor, vanes, a motor, and a fixed member. The casing defines a pump chamber therein. The rotor is disposed in the casing and configured to eccentrically rotate relative to the casing. The vanes are configured to rotate together with the rotor to slidably move on an inner surface of the casing. The motor is configured to rotate the rotor. Both the motor and the casing are fixed to the fixed member. The casing has an outer side wall surface and a flange. The flange protrudes outward from the outer side wall surface at an intermediate position between both ends of the pump chamber in a rotational axis direction of the rotor. The flange is fixed to the fixed member at a plurality of positions. The fixed member has a linear expansion coefficient that is different from that of the casing.

Abstract: The gear pump may have a casing, a main shaft and rotating means connected to one end of the main shaft and configured to rotate the main shaft. Housed by the casing, a toothed wheel and at least one other toothed element are intermeshed with the toothed wheel. The other end of the main shaft is connected to one of the toothed wheel and the casing. Rotating the main shaft relative to the rotating means rotates the toothed wheel and the at least one other toothed element relative to the casing, thereby generating the flow. The other one of the casing and the toothed wheel is configured to be rotated around an axis defined by the main shaft for varying a flow rate of the generated flow.

Abstract: A progressive cavity pump (PCP) system includes a PCP with a rotor rotatably disposed in a stator, a permanent magnet motor, sucker rod(s), and a control system. The rotor is coupled to one of the sucker rods via a high-torque connection that allows for counter clockwise rotation without loosening the connection between the rotor and sucker rod. The control system operates the system in a production mode by rotating the rotor clockwise. Upon manual input by a user, or automatic triggering when protections settings of the control system call for a shutdown or cleanout or when the control system senses an imminent pump shutdown, the control system operates the system in a reverse mode by rotating the rotor counterclockwise. The reverse mode pumps fluids and suspended solid particles down into the well prior to pump shutdown to inhibit the solids from clogging the pump or preventing the pump from restarting.

Abstract: A grouting material delivery and application system for coating the exterior of a collapsed liner with an even distribution of grouting material prior to insertion into a damaged conduit. The apparatus includes a wetout funnel for receiving grouting material to evenly coat the exterior of the liner. The wetout funnel includes opposite walls forming a v-shape with a slot at the bottom of the v-shape and a squeegee disposed at the slot for controlling the coating of grouting material for a uniform covering on the liner as it passes through the wetout funnel. A first ejector pipe having an inflow end and an outflow end for receiving and dispensing grouting material to coat one half of the exterior of the liner. A second ejector pipe having an inflow end and an outflow end for receiving and dispensing grouting material to coat the opposite half of the exterior of the liner.

Abstract: A fluid system includes a variable-speed and/or a variable-torque pump to pump a fluid, at least one proportional control valve assembly, an actuator that is operated by the fluid to control a load, and a controller that establishes a speed and/or torque of the pump and a position of the at least one proportional control valve assembly. The pump includes at least one fluid driver that provides fluid to the actuator, which can be, e.g., a fluid-actuated cylinder, a fluid-driven motor or another type of fluid-driven actuator that controls a load. Each fluid driver includes a prime mover and a fluid displacement assembly. The fluid displacement assembly can be driven by the prime mover such that fluid is transferred from the inlet port to the outlet port of the pump.

Abstract: The disclosure herein relates to device, for example a gear pump, for pumping fluid. The gear pump comprises a motor for driving a rotatable drive shaft; a drive gear configured to be driven by the drive shaft; an idler gear which meshes with the drive gear; an annular magnet disposed coaxially with the drive shaft and configured to rotate therewith; and a sensor for sensing rotation of the annular magnet and generating an output signal corresponding to a rotational position of the drive shaft.

Abstract: An anti-ripple injection method for injecting an anti-ripple signal into a control system of a pump is disclosed. The control system controls an electric motor via an electric motor drive, and the electric motor drives the pump. The anti-ripple signal causes pressure ripples in the pump output to be at least partially cancelled. The anti-ripple injection method includes: injecting an anti-ripple signal of any waveform into the control system, the anti-ripple signal being represented by the following equation: f(θ)=ΣmAm cos(mθ+θm), wherein θ is the rotation angle of the motor shaft, m is the order of a signal harmonic in the anti-ripple signal, Am and θm are parameters with respect to the mth signal harmonic. A control system of a pump including the anti-ripple injection apparatus, and a pump system including the control system are also disclosed.
