    摘要: Various examples are provided related to amplified deformable mirrors (ADMs). In one embodiment, an ADM includes a deformable mirror and a flexible dielectric matrix deposited on a front side of the deformable mirror. A pathlength of a wavelength, λ0, of electromagnetic radiation passing through the dielectric matrix can be amplified by a distribution of dielectric particles embedded in the dielectric matrix.

    摘要: Methods and systems are described that enable three-dimensional (3D) imaging of objects. One example system includes a light source that produces multiple light beams having specific spectral content and polarization states. The system also includes phase masks that modify the intensity or phase of the light, and projection optics that allow simultaneously projection of at least three fringe patterns onto an object having particular phase, polarization and spectral characteristics. The detection system includes a camera that simultaneously receives light associated with the at the fringe patterns upon reflection from the object, and a processing unit coupled to the camera unit that determines one or both of a phase or a depth information associated with the object. The system and associated methods can efficiency produce 2D images of the object and allow determination of characteristics such as surface profile. The disclosed systems and methods can be effectively implemented with moving objects.

    摘要: A method and system capable of applying microwave therapy guided by thermoacoustic imaging and/or thermoacoustic thermometry is disclosed. The system includes a thermoacoustic imaging system and/or a thermoacoustic thermometry system that generate(s) a map of a region of interest; and a microwave therapy system that targets the region of interest using the map, and that applies the microwave therapy to the targeted region of interest. Treatment of the targeted region of interest may be employed by the microwave therapy system using real-time feedback from the thermoacoustic imaging system and/or the thermoacoustic thermometry system. Imaging and therapy may be automatically co-registered.

    摘要: Methods and devices for measuring full or partial Mueller matrix information in a single shot are described. One single shot polarimeter includes a polarization filter that is positioned to receive collimated light from a light source and to produce light having different polarization states. The polarization filter includes at least four sections, where each section receives a portion of the collimated light and produces light of a particular polarization state, which is spatially separated from light produced by other sections of the polarization filter. An imaging component images the sections of the polarization filter onto a plane of a sample object. One or more optical elements receive the light from the sample object and image a section of the sample object onto a detector. The disclosed devices and methods enable the measurement of the Mueller matrix of the sample with high signal-to-noise ratios.

    摘要: A domain fact verification system is described having a computer programmed with a model trained using a process of data distillation and model distillation to improve model learning of the underlying semantics of a dataset rather than relying on statistical and lexical nuances in a domain-specific dataset. The computer thus programmed can accurately perform fact verification across multiple domains without the labor-intensive process of encoding a dataset of human-annotated, domain-specific information for each domain. Moreover, by combining data distillation with model distillation techniques, which may be seen as an inverse of well-established ensemble strategies (which train individual models separately and applies them jointly) the present domain transferable fact verification system scales better at inference time due to its reliance on a single trained model.
