    摘要: Flood water removal systems including a motor, a vacuum generating device, a discharge pump, and a vacuum tank can be efficiently arranged to be transversely mounted to a vehicle. Certain flood water removal systems can include a supercharger driven by the engine to generate vacuum. The systems can include a valve to prevent collapse of a vacuum tank and maintain a predetermined vacuum pressure without varying the speed of the motor. The systems can also include a two-stage exhaust that blends exhaust from the blower with motor exhaust in a silencer to reduce noise generation for operation in residential or other noise-sensitive settings. The systems can also include a vacuum tank comprising a noise reduction baffle to further reduce noise generation.

    摘要: A self priming pump system that includes a motor coupled to a centrifugal pump for driving the centrifugal pump. A separator having a reservoir is provided for storing a limited amount of pumped fluid in advance of the centrifugal pump. A vacuum source provides a vacuum suction to the reservoir to draw pumped fluid into the reservoir to prime the pump. To increase the reliability of the vacuum pump system, a deflector and/or extension may be provided in the reservoir to help prevent pumped fluid from entering the vacuum pump input. Also, the configuration of a tank used to store liquid for the vacuum pump system may be configured to separate and collect sediments near a drain port, which then can be easily drained. For positive head pressures, one or more valves may be used to prevent pumped fluid from escaping the reservoir, if desired.

    摘要: A trailer and fuel tank assembly are disclosed. The fuel tank preferably forms the body of the trailer. The fuel tank may include a recess in the top surface for receiving the motor and/or pump, which may lower the pump closer to the ground to increase the suction performance of the pump. The bottom surface of the fuel tank may be bowed upward. This may cause any contaminants in the fuel tank to collect along the edges of the tank. Drain ports, positioned near the edges of the tank, can then be used to drain the contaminants from the tank. To easily attach accessories to the trailer, one or more track bars may be mounted to the trailer body. The track bars preferably include an elongate channel and an elongate slot. By placing an insert inside of the channel and bolting the accessory to the insert through the longitudinally extending slot, the accessories can be easily attached to the trailer.

    摘要: A pump housing has a plurality of chambers formed therein, and a shaft journaled within, the shaft having impellers keyed thereto. Each chamber has one of the impellers disposed therein. One of the impellers is the primary liquid-working element, and has rigid vanes. The vanes are generously spaced apart from the enclosing chamber walls. A second impeller has flexible vanes, and serves as a priming element; it has an intimate fit in its chamber and cooperates with an outlet flapper valve to create a negative pressure in the liquid inlet. Consequently, the pump can self-prime even when absolutely dry.

    摘要: The pumping system employs horizontal shaft pumping units, each of which may be vacuum primed by a priming chamber which is mounted on the discharge outlet of the pump volute at a position above the volute itself. Preferably, each of the pump volutes has its discharge passage inclined within the vertical plane of the volute so that friction losses at points of connection to other piping of the system is minimized and space occupied by the system is likewise reduced. The inclination of each discharge passage is such that no portion of the internal pumping chamber of the volutes is higher than the point of intersection between the discharge passage and the chamber, whereby to avoid trapping air within the chambers. Specially configured and arranged ball check valve assemblies downstream from each pump unit are designed to provide a pool of liquid submerging the seat for the valve of each assembly when the system is in an idle or standby condition whereby to promote an effective, air-tight sealing action.

The motor drives the first stage of the pump upstream of the second stage which supplies the fuel, by creating a higher output from the first stage, which supply pressure is produced on the suction side of the second stage to maintain the pressure build-up in the pump. An air discharge is provided ahead of the inlet to the suction side of the second stage to dispell gases created in the fuel by the elevated pump pressures.

    摘要: An engine driven impeller type pump for draining water from a plurality of well points is primed by an engine driven oil filled vacuum pump which is connected to the top of a vacuum chamber mounted on the impeller pump housing. A normally open solenoid valve located between the vacuum chamber and vacuum pump is controlled by an electrical control system to prevent water overflow from the vacuum chamber into the vacuum pump. The electrical control system includes low level and high level probes which are located near the lower and upper ends, respectively, of the vacuum chamber, and which are connected in first and second oscillator circuits, respectively. The oscillator circuits are connected to a logic circuit and the latter is connected to a drive circuit which operates the solenoid valve. When the water level in the vacuum chamber rises to the high level probe, the normally open solenoid valve closes and remains closed until the water level recedes below the low level probe.

    摘要: A centrifugal liquid pump of the kind wherein an auxiliary vacuum pump assists in priming and removing unwanted gas during subsequent operation, is provided with a primary chamber to contain liquid and to receive unwanted gas which has entered the pump, an upper port in said chamber for removal of gas by said vacuum pump, a float-operated valve device to control said port, a secondary chamber connected at its upper part to said port, and a valve-controlled return passageway extending from a lower part of the secondary chamber to said primary chamber. The secondary chamber has an upper opening to said vacuum source whereby gas from said primary chamber is extracted via the secondary chamber in which entrained liquid is deposited and, on opening said secondary chamber to atmosphere, the occurring pressure differential between the chambers discharges deposited liquid in the secondary chamber through said return passageway to the primary chamber. The float-operated valve device may be arranged to open said secondary chamber to atmosphere when the valve device operates to close said port, and a manually-operable valve may be provided to admit atmospheric air to said secondary chamber and effect discharge of the deposited liquid, independently of the floatoperated valve device.

    摘要: A mobile, jet type water pump apparatus which is selfpriming and in which the water pump stays primed regardless of whether the water pump is running. The apparatus includes a self-priming tank which is primed by a vacuum pump directly driven by a mobile power source, such as an internal combustion engine, and the apparatus also includes a safety chamber which has a float switch that causes the engine to shut-down in the event that the float valve in the priming chamber fails, there being an electrical connection from the safety chamber float switch to a fuel solenoid valve of the engine and which can shut the engine down. The arrangement also provides that air is sucked in by the vacuum pump and is mixed with lubricating oil from the engine and functions to cool the vacuum pump. The oil-air mixture is returned to a separator tank which separates the oil from the air, the oil being returned to the engine block and the air is vented to the atmosphere.
