摘要: The application relates to a brake pad assembly (2) for a disk brake system and to a disk brake system. The disk brake system has a brake piston (11) and a caliper finger (20) movably coupled to the brake piston (11). The brake pad assembly (2) comprises a back plate (4) having a front side for facing a brake disk (1) of the disk brake system and a back side (6), a friction layer (3) arranged at the front side of the back plate (4) for contacting a friction surface of the brake disk (1), and a shim (5) arranged on the back side (6) of the back plate (4). The shim (5) comprises a back surface (12) having a top edge (14) and first and second side edges (16, 17). Further, the back surface (12) of the shim (5) contains a pressure region (13) that is configured to be pushed on by the brake piston (11) or by the caliper finger (20) upon brake application. The shim (5) further comprises a plurality of cutouts (19, 19′, 19″) for noise reduction. The plurality of cutouts (19, 19′, 19″) is arranged at least partly between the pressure region (13) of the back surface (12) of the shim (5) and the top edge (14) of the back surface (12) of the shim (5). Additionally or alternatively, the plurality of cutouts (19, 19′, 19″) is arranged at least partly between the pressure region (13) of the back surface (12) of the shim (5) and at least one of the first side edge (16) and the second side edge (17) of the back surface (12) of the shim (5).

摘要: A disc brake for utility vehicles includes a brake disc, a brake caliper spanning the brake disc, a brake carrier, and an application-side brake pad and a reaction-side brake pad, of which at least the application-side brake lining is accommodated in a lining slot of the brake carrier. The brake caliper houses a brake application device having a single pressure plunger arranged to exert a brake application force on the application-side brake lining via a pressure plate. The brake is configured with one or both of an operative plane of the pressure plate being offset in the direction of the exit side at a distance from a plane of symmetry of the disc brake, and a bevel on the exit side of at least the application-side brake lining.

摘要: A brake screw for use with a surgical lighting system. The brake screw includes a screw member retained within a threaded aperture of a mounting hub of a spindle of an arm used with the lighting system. The screw member is rotationally adjusted to enable displacement in an axial direction. A brake member is in axial alignment with the screw member and disposed for movement in the axial direction against a mounting tube retained within the mounting hub upon rotational adjustment of the screw member. A rivet section is integrally formed with the brake member and has a distal end retained within an axial recess formed within the screw member, allowing movement of the brake member in the axial direction within the screw member. A bias member is disposed between the screw member and the brake member to create a biasing force that urges apart the screw member and the brake member along the axial direction.

摘要: A laminated shim for a disc brake includes base and cover shim plates. The base shim plate includes a base side substrate portion, and a base side locking piece extending in a lamination direction of the base shim plate and the cover shim plate. The cover shim plate includes a cover side substrate portion which is laminated on the base side substrate portion, and a cover side locking piece which extends from the cover side substrate portion in an extension direction of the base side locking piece and is radially overlapped with the base side locking piece. A circumferential end portion of one of the base side locking piece and the cover side locking piece abuts against a movement restricting surface facing a circumferential direction and provided at one of the base side substrate portion and the cover side substrate portion.

摘要: There is provided an apparatus for applying a braking force to a brake disc using a brake pad. The apparatus comprises a lever configured to rotate about a first fulcrum, and a pressing member attached to said lever and for urging a brake pad against a brake disc. A component is arranged and configured to ensure that said pressing member has a circular translational movement upon rotation of said lever, and a rotatable input member is configured to rotate a first member. In use, rotation of said first member causes movement of an actuating member along an first axis (A), and said axial movement of said actuating member causes said lever to rotate about said first fulcrum for applying a braking force to said brake disc.

摘要: A shim assembly for a disk brake includes inside shim locking pieces which are provided in an inside shim main body of the inside shim plate and bent toward the pressure plate so that displacement of the inside shim plate in radial and peripheral directions is restricted and outside shim locking pieces which are provided in an outside shim main body of the outside shim plate and bent toward the pressure plate so that displacement of the outside shim plate in the peripheral direction is allowed and displacement thereof in the radial direction is restricted. Engaging pawls are provided in the inside shim main body and projected from a peripheral edge of the pressure plate. The outside shim locking pieces are respectively engaged with the engaging pawls so as to cover the engaging pawls, to prevent the outside shim plate against separation from the inside shim plate.

The electromagnetic brake comprises a frame part, an armature part movably mounted on the frame part and having a magnetic core, one or more spring elements for activating the brake by moving the said armature part forwards, an electromagnet fitted to the frame part and arranged to release the brake by pulling the said armature part backwards by resisting the said one or more spring elements, and a planar, elastically bendable damping plate fitted to be bent when the armature part is moving and, while being bent, to produce a damping force resisting the bending to dampen brake noise.

摘要: A pneumatic disc brake for utility vehicles has two brake pad carrier plates to which brake pads are fixed. The disc brake is equipped with an application device which has two pressure plungers. By way of a force-absorbing connection between the pressure plungers and the facing surface of the brake pad carrier plate, a bridge is relieved of bending stresses. The end faces of the pressure plungers and at least the contact faces of the facing brake pad carrier plate are provided with profilings, which engage into one another in a form-fitting manner, such that at least in the event of full-load braking, each brake pad is moved in the peripheral direction.
