    摘要: An isolating torque coupler includes a drive element assembled between annular cage elements of a driven element. The cage elements each include a plurality of aligned voids. The drive element includes a hub portion and a plurality of lobes with each of the lobes including a first edge and a second edge. Openings in the drive element are aligned with the voids of the cage elements to accommodate isolator springs. Each isolator spring is a helical coil compression spring having squared ends. A first edge of each of the lobes of the drive element is parallel to a second end of the corresponding one of the voids of the driven element. A second edge of each of the lobes of the drive element is non-parallel to a first end of the corresponding one of the voids of the driven element.

The input and/or the output component includes at least one substantially disc-shaped torque transmitting member which is of one piece with a portion having several resilient tongues which are deformable in the direction of the common axis of the input and output components and form part of a friction generating device.

    摘要: A friction clutch for a drive train of a motor vehicle generally has a torsional damper with at least one hub and hub disc concentric to an axis of rotation, and cover plates located on both sides of the hub disc which are non-rotationally connected together and held at a distance from one another. Coil springs can be located in apertures of the hub disc, on one hand, and in the cover plates on the other hand. The apertures can be designed so that the coil springs, located in the apertures of the cover plates, in spite of the fact that the coil springs are held without stress on their ends, cannot come loose from the apertures. To achieve this, the edges with which the ends of the respective coil springs come in contact can be provided with indentations which are designed for the radial release of the respective outermost windings of the coil springs.

    摘要: A spring damper drive for a clutch driven disc assembly. The assembly includes a pair of spaced outer covers connected to a generally cylindrical central hub. An annular support plate is disposed about the hub between the outer covers and is rotatable relative thereto throughout a limited distance. The outer covers and the support plate each have respective pluralities of openings formed therethrough. The openings are adapted to be aligned with one another so as to receive and retain respective pairs of dampening coil springs therein. Each spring opening is shaped generally in the form of a truncated sector, having a linear inner wall oriented perpendicularly to a bisecting radius of the outer cover, a pair of end walls extending perpendicularly outwardly from each end of the linear inner wall, and an arcuate outer wall connecting the two end walls. The peripheries of the spring openings formed in the two outer covers are defined by flanges which extend thereabout in opposed fashion. The radially outermost corners of each of those flanges are formed having shoulders which extend inwardly from the arcuate outer wall. The shoulders are provided to re-position the ends of the coil springs according to the amount of compression thereof caused by rotation of the support plate relative to the outer covers. As a result, the springs are properly positioned throughout relatively large amplitudes of angular displacement of the support plate relative to the outer covers, and premature wear of the springs is avoided.
