Abstract: Provided is torsion damper for a vehicle including an output side-flywheel coupled to an output shaft of a driving unit in an axial direction, a first drive plate disposed to be relatively rotatable in an axial direction of the output side-flywheel, a second drive plate disposed to be relatively rotatable in an axial direction of the first drive plate, an input shaft of a transmission being coupled thereto in the axial direction, a first damper member installed between the output side-flywheel and the first drive plate and configured to absorb vibration and impact generated in a rotation direction thereof, and a second damper member installed between the first drive plate and the second drive plate and configured to absorb vibration and impact generated in a rotation direction thereof.

Abstract: A torsional vibration damper and a hydrodynamic torque converter comprising same is disclosed. The torsional vibration damper has an input part which can be rotated about a rotational axis (d) and an output part. An intermediate flange is arranged against a respective spring device, which acts in a circumferential direction, between the input part and the output part, and the intermediate flange is made of two axially spaced interconnected lateral parts, axially between which the input part and the output part are received. In order to improve the loading of the spring devices, the loading of the spring devices by means of the intermediate flange is at least partly provided by loading means arranged between the lateral parts.

Abstract: A power transmission device includes a flywheel and a damper device. The flywheel includes a plurality of fixation holes. The damper device includes an input rotary member, an output rotary member, and a pair of first elastic members. The input rotary member and output rotary member each include a plurality of assembling holes disposed in corresponding positions to the plurality of fixation holes of the flywheel. The plurality of assembling holes are arranged in a circumferential direction such that two pairs of the assembling holes, each pair including two adjacent assembling holes, are each disposed at a larger interval than remaining assembling holes to produce a pair of accommodation spaces. A pair of first accommodation portions, accommodating the pair of first elastic members, is disposed radially outside the pair of accommodation spaces.

Abstract: A torsional vibration damper assembly for a hydrokinetic torque coupling device, comprises a torsional vibration damper, and a dynamic absorber operatively connected to the torsional vibration damper. The torsional vibration damper comprises a driven member rotatable about a rotational axis, a first retainer plate rotatable relative to the driven member coaxially with the rotational axis, and a plurality of damper elastic members interposed between the first retainer plate and the driven member. The damper elastic members elastically couples the first retainer plate to the driven member. The dynamic absorber includes an inertial member. The inertial member is mounted to the torsional vibration damper rotatably relative to the driven member. The inertial member is rotationally guided and centered relative to the rotational axis by the driven member of the torsional vibration damper.

Abstract: A damper system includes a turbine shaft rotatably connected to a torque converter having a clutch. A hydraulically actuated clutch is coupled to the turbine shaft. A first spring cage has a first cage portion connected to the hydraulically actuated clutch and a second cage portion connected to a friction plate. A first spring set is connected to the first and second cage portions. Springs of the first spring set are deflected by axial rotation between the first and second cage portions when the torque converter clutch is engaged. A second spring cage has a first cage section connected to the hydraulically actuated clutch and a second cage section connected to a torque converter turbine. A second spring set has second springs having a spring constant different than the first spring set. The second spring set springs are deflected by axial rotation between the first and second cage sections.

Abstract: A torsional damper assembly for a vehicle powertrain is provided and is configured to dampen torsional vibration transfer between an engine and a transmission of the vehicle. The assembly includes a hub having a flange defining a window, a biasing mechanism disposed at least partially within the window and configured to absorb a first portion of the torsional vibration from the engine, and a damper body disposed at least partially within the window. The damper body is formed from at least one of a viscoelastic material and a viscoplastic material, and is configured to dampen a second, different portion of the torsional vibration and radial forces from the engine such that the biasing mechanism and the damper body cooperatively dampen the torsional vibration transfer between the engine and the transmission.
