摘要: A shock absorber includes: a damper tube accommodating a piston in a reciprocally movable manner; a suspension spring for urging the damper tube and a piston rod in opposite directions; a first male screw provided on an outer peripheral surface of the damper tube; a first nut screwed into the first male screw so as to enable a spring load of the suspension spring to be adjusted; a second nut screwed into the first male screw so as to enable a position of the first nut in an axial direction of the damper tube to be fixed; a second male screw having a reverse screw configuration to the first male screw and provided on the outer peripheral surface of the damper tube; and a damper head screwed into the second male screw so as to enable the damper head to cover one end portion of the damper tube.

摘要: A method and apparatus are disclosed that assist a user in performing proper setup of a vehicle suspension. A user may utilize a device equipped with an image sensor to assist the user in proper setup of a vehicle suspension. The device executes an application that prompts the user for input and instructs the user to perform a number of steps for adjusting the suspension components. In one embodiment, the application does not communicate with sensors on the vehicle. In another embodiment, the application may communicate with various sensors located on the vehicle to provide feedback to the device during the setup routine. In one embodiment, the device may analyze a digital image of a suspension component to provide feedback about a physical characteristic of the component.

摘要: A rough road detection system is disclosed. The system includes a sensor data receiver to receive sensor data from one or more sensors monitoring a vehicle. A sensor data evaluator to: identify a repeating pattern in the sensor data, the repeating pattern indicative of a terrain type being traversed by the vehicle, determine a value of the repeating pattern, obtain a present set of operational values for at least one damping characteristic of an active valve damper coupled with the vehicle, and modify the present set of operational values for the at least one damping characteristic of the active valve damper based on the value of the repeating pattern to develop a modified set of operational values for the at least one damping characteristic of the active valve damper.

摘要: This control system comprises: a control device which, while a vehicle is driven, receives power to control the operation of a moving part and which, while the vehicle is stopped, does not receive power; and a system which is capable of communicating with the control device, and which, when the vehicle is stopped, receives power so as to be capable of ascertaining first information pertaining to time or which is capable of acquiring, during the driving, second information pertaining to times before and after when the vehicle was stopped. When the vehicle is restarted after being stopped, the control device uses at least one of the first information and the second information received from the system to ascertain the time elapsed while the vehicle was stopped, and uses the elapsed time to control the operation of the moving part.

摘要: A suspension monitoring and adjustment system for an off-road vehicle includes a distance sensor arranged to measure shock displacement of a suspension of the vehicle. The system may include an output device configured to output shock displacement data generated by the distance sensor and a processor or programmable circuit operable to produce a visual representation of the shock displacement data output by the output device. The system may include a processor or programmable circuit operable to generate an adjustment signal based on shock displacement data generated by the distance sensor and a suspension adjuster arranged to adjust the suspension of the vehicle in response to the adjustment signal.

摘要: Altering the damping rate of a vehicle suspension damper. A pressure of a damping fluid is exerted against a second valve mechanism connected to the vehicle suspension damper. The pressure of the damping fluid is increased beyond a threshold of the second valve mechanism that is adjustable by an adjustment member. The adjustment member is exposed through a high pressure side of the vehicle suspension damper. The second valve mechanism is then opened.

摘要: A vehicle height adjustment device includes a cylinder, a piston, a rod, a spring, an adjustor, a storage chamber, and a passage switch unit. The piston divides a space inside the cylinder. The rod has one end in the axial direction holding the piston and has the other end supported at a vehicle wheel side. The spring has one end in the axial direction supported at the body side and has the other end supported at the wheel side. The adjustor includes an accommodation chamber of fluid and supports the one end of the spring to adjust a length of the spring in accordance with an amount of the fluid in the accommodation chamber. The passage switch unit closes an opening of the cylinder and includes first and second communication passages to switch a passage for the fluid in accordance with a movement of the piston.
