    摘要: In a power transmission device for a vehicle, a boss portion of a clutch guide, which is an input-side rotation member of a clutch unit, includes: a spline portion spline-connected to a small-diameter portion at one end of a center shaft which is an input shaft; and a fitting portion that extends further from the spline portion in an axial direction to contact the outer circumference of a medium-diameter portion of the center shaft. A recess functioning as a torque fuse is formed in the medium-diameter portion of the center shaft corresponding to the fitting portion. When the center shaft is severed or disconnected at the recess, the medium-diameter portion of the severed cut center shaft can still remain within the fitting portion, so that appropriate centering can be secured and stable self-propulsion of the vehicle can be secured without unwanted misalignment of the axis of rotation of the clutch.

    摘要: The invention relates to a force limiting assembly that includes a force transmitting reciprocating output member carried by an actuator member mounted at one end for rotation in a force limiting assembly housing. A power input member is secured to the actuating member in the housing. The assembly is provided with a release mechanism secured to the assembly housing and mechanically releasably secured to the actuating member to thereby permit the actuating member to move axially into the housing. The axial movement into the housing occurs only when an axial force present in the actuating member, which force is directed towards the housing, exceeds a preset value which results in the sudden release and movement of the actuating member and the power input member into locking cooperation with a portion of the assembly housing. While the power input member is in locking cooperation with the housing, no further input power may be transmitted from the power input member to the actuating member and the force transmitting output member. The release mechanism additionally allows the actuating member and the input member to have limited movement in a direction along the actuating member away from the housing whenever a predetermined force is applied to the actuating member in the direction away from the housing. The input member, when experiencing the movement in a direction away from the housing, cooperatively mechanically locks with a portion of the housing, whereupon no further input power may be transmitted from the power input member to the actuating member and the force transmitting output member.

A pair of coaxial, telescoped drive shafts are provided as independent outputs to a pair of driven devices.     摘要: A safety lever for a load-sustaining device which prevents overloading of the device during use. The safety lever is constructed of two cooperable interconnected parts having shear pin means interposed therebetween which will sever upon force applied to the operating lever in excess of a predetermined rated amount. A stop shoulder is included with the lever which restricts movement of the lever in one direction when the shear pin is severed so that operation injury is precluded. Movement of the lever in the opposite direction upon shearing of the shear pin is unrestricted so that the load-sustaining device is rendered inoperable until the shear pin is replaced.
