The cooling device includes a first cooling fan for cooling a gaseous-phase portion of the condenser, and two second cooling fans for cooling a liquid-phase portion of the condenser independently of the first cooling fan. The control device also includes a pressure control section for optimally adjusting a pressure within the gaseous-phase portion, and a temperature control section for optimally adjusting a temperature within the liquid-phase portion. The pressure control section operates the first cooling fan, in accordance with a detected pressure within the gaseous-phase portion, to adjust the pressure within the gaseous-phase portion. The temperature control section operates the second cooling fans, in accordance with a detected temperature within the liquid-phase portion, to adjust the temperature within the liquid-phase portion.

The shell is in contact with the flow of fluid. A thermally reactive material that expands when heated and contracts when cooled is a substantially non-volatile heat transfer liquid that does not undergo a phase change in use and contains inert particulate filler within the void and is in contact with the outer surface of the flexible flow adjustment member. The thermally reactive material exerts pressure on the adjustment member in response to heating the thermally reactive material to cause the passage to narrow and relieves pressure thereon in response to cooling the thermally reactive material to permit the passage to widen.

The invention relates to a thermally controlled steam trap with a casing formed from two disk-like wall portions, with a diaphragm arranged between them and which is tightly welded at its outer edge to the two wall portions and forming with one wall portion a chamber receiving an expansion medium, and with a closure centrally fixed to the diaphragm and cooperating through a bore in the second wall portion with a valve seat. According to the invention the closure 7 is centrally connected to the diaphragm 4 and a counterpart 15 by resistance force welding. In order to obtain a clean weld, the closure 7 is specially designed for resistance forge welding.

The invention relates to a volatile-liquid-filled, encapsulated diaphragm valve for the thermal control of condensate water drains. The capsule consists of two unhardened turnings which are welded together, the lower capsule part having a threaded stem to be screwed into the bore of the condensate drain. In the outlet passage in the threaded stem of the lower capsule part there is press-fitted a hardened valve seat body having valve seats at both ends, the seat cone on the outlet side, which cooperates with a check valve body, being prolonged in the outlet passage all the way to the end of the threaded stem, terminating in a narrow edge. The entire conical flare forms the chamber for the movement of the check valve body, which is limited by a sieve plate. Above the threaded stem the capsule bottom part's diameter reaches all the way to the diaphragm clamping zone, while the lateral inlet ports in the bottom part consist of bores having an inside diameter corresponding to the wall thickness.
