    摘要: A combustor assembly including a combustor liner defining therein a combustion chamber for the downstream flow of a main fluid. At least two annular trapped vortex cavities are located on the combustor liner and staged axially spaced apart. A cavity opening is located at a radially inner end of each of the at least two annular trapped vortex cavities spaced apart from a radially outer wall and extending between an aft wall and a forward wall of each cavity. A plurality of injectors are configured tangentially relative to the circular radially outer wall to provide for an injection of air and fuel to form an annular rotating trapped vortex of a fuel and air mixture within a respective annular trapped vortex cavity. The annular rotating trapped vortex of the fuel and air mixture at the cavity openings is substantially perpendicular to the downstream flow of the main fluid. A gas turbine engine including the combustor assembly is disclosed.

In a marine boiler structure configured such that combustion gas generated by combustion in a burner flows from a furnace through a superheater and an evaporator tube bundle, a bottom air port that supplies part of the combustion air as bottom air from a furnace bottom portion of the furnace is provided, the bottom air port is positioned closer to the superheater relative to a burner center line, and an ejecting direction of the bottom air is set within a range inclining in the burner direction from the vertically upward direction.

    摘要: A method for combusting a combustible fuel includes providing a vessel having an opening near a proximate end and a closed distal end defining a combustion chamber. A combustible reactants mixture is presented into the combustion chamber. The combustible reactants mixture is ignited creating a flame and combustion products. The closed end of the combustion chamber is utilized for directing combustion products toward the opening of the combustion chamber creating a reverse flow of combustion products within the combustion chamber. The reverse flow of combustion products is intermixed with combustible reactants mixture to maintain the flame.
