摘要: The present disclosure is directed to a method for cleaning gas turbine engine components using an acoustic emitter. More specifically, in one embodiment, the method includes positioning the acoustic emitter at a cleaning location of a component of the gas turbine engine. For example, the cleaning location is typically characterized by having a build-up of foulants on a surface thereof. Thus, the method includes emitting, via the acoustic emitter, acoustic waves at a predetermined frequency towards the cleaning location of the component so as to disperse the foulants.

摘要: A system for the combustion of high solids liquid to produce steam for the production of ethanol is disclosed. The system comprises a method for combusting high solids liquid. The method comprises supplying a stream of high solids liquid to a furnace; atomizing the stream of high solids liquid into the furnace; and distributing biomass fuel into the furnace. The stream of high solids liquid are combusted with the biomass fuel in the furnace.

摘要: An indexing style Automatic Port Cleaner for cleaning furnace combustion air ports employs multiple cleaning tips and rods enclosed substantially in a furnace windbox. An extension bar enclosed substantially in a furnace windbox to which the cleaning rods are attached with the extension bar carries the cleaning rods and tips in a translating and indexing motion. An extension bar is supported by two fulcrum rods and in turn supported by two fulcrum tubes and two fulcrum housings, the fulcrum housings being supported by a faceplate and fixed relative to the combustion air ports. The fulcrum rods translate relative to the fulcrum tubes while the fulcrum tubes rotate relative to the fulcrum housings. A linear actuator is disposed to create a reciprocating translating motion of the fulcrum rods, extension bar, cleaning rods, and cleaning tips. Indexing creates rotation of the fulcrum tubes, fulcrum rods, extension bar, cleaning rods, and cleaning tips, in a reciprocating fashion about the fulcrum housings.

摘要: A PLC based parameter sensing sootblower having a retractable lance tube that is extended and retracted by a drive motor. A PLC sensing circuit is used to sense when the lance tube is fully extended and/or fully retracted. The PLC sensing circuit can be configured to sense drive motor current, power, torque or other drive motor characteristics to determine when the lance tube has come to a hard stop upon extension. The PLC sensing circuit then calculates an approximate time window in which the lance should be fully retracted. The parameter sensor is configured to sense the drive motor current, power, torque or other characteristic only during the time window to determine when the lance tube is fully retracted while ignoring any motor load variations outside of the designated time window.

摘要: Apparatus for cleaning air ports in a chemical recovery furnace includes a plurality of rods, each having a cleaning tip thereon, mounted on a wind box adjacent the furnace. The rods are longitudinally slidable to insert the cleaning tips into the air ports, and are rotatable about an axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the rods so as to index the cleaning tips to a new point of insertion into the air port opening. An air cylinder actuator is employed to insert the cleaning tips into the openings in a ramming motion to dislodge residual buildup in the air port opening, retract the cleaning tips from the air port openings, and index the tips to a new point of insertion. Successive invocation of the actuating means results in removal of residual buildup along the entire length of the air port openings.

摘要: Apparatus for cleaning air ports in a chemical recovery furnace includes a face plate removably received in a frame secured to the outer wall of the wind box associated with the furnace. The face plate pivotally carries a plurality of tubes which sealingly receive rods adapted to slide in the tubes toward and away from the air ports on the interior furnace or firebox wall. An actuating cylinder moves the rods toward the air port openings, while a reciprocating mechanism rotates the aforementioned tubes causing cleaning tips on the rod ends to enter the air port openings and clean char buildup along the edges thereof.
