The relief device 106 comprises a housing 108 containing the operational components of the relief device 106. The relief device 106 is removably retainable relative to the vessel 102 such that the housing 108 of the relief device 106 is located substantially behind the outer casing 104 of the hot water storage unit 100 on the inner side 122 of the outer casing 104. The hot water storage unit 100 can be made by removably retaining the relief device 106 relative to the vessel 102 and placing the outer casing 104 around the vessel 102 so that the housing 108 of the relief device 106 is located substantially behind the outer casing 104, on the inner side 122 of the outer casing 104, after the outer casing 104 has been placed around the vessel 102.

According to the invention, temperature sensitive means (10) are provided on or within said valve (2) and/or said thermostat head (3) influencing a throttling behavior of said valve (2) depending on a temperature of a fluid controlled by said valve (2). By this, a premature throttling of the fluid controlled by said valve (2) due to heat transfer between the fluid and the thermostat head (3) may be prevented. Thus, a good ambient temperature may be established which comes closer to the desired room temperature.

    摘要: A hot water supply apparatus has: a thermo-sensitive valve which is connected in parallel to a cold water delivery pipe and a hot water delivery pipe and which is closed when the hot water temperature to flow inside the valve is above a predetermined temperature to thereby shut off communication between the cold water delivery pipe and the hot water delivery pipe; and a circulation pump. By operation of the circulation pump, water circulation takes place from a heat exchanger through the hot water delivery pipe, a return pipe, the circulation pump, and a cold water supply pipe back to the heat exchanger. When the thermo-sensitive valve is open, water circulation takes place also through the thermo-sensitive valve. Instantaneous hot water supply operation is finished when an amount detected by a flow sensor falls below a predetermined amount during the instantaneous hot water supply operation.

A method for controlling initiation of heating in a tankless water heater auxiliary system, includes monitoring operation of a tankless water heater; measuring water flow using a water flow sensor to determine if water flow rate exceeds a use determined flow rate; implementing a control time delay into the tankless water heater to purge water from the heater and sense the inlet water supply temperature; measuring the water temperature using a heat exchanger outgoing thermistor; comparing the temperature measured by the thermistor to a predetermined temperature; and initiating a combustion sequence if the temperature measured by the outgoing themistor is less than the predetermined temperature.

    摘要: A bypass valve is for support between hot and cold water lines that connect to respective hot and cold fixtures. The bypass valve includes a valve body having an internal chamber, a hot water inlet port, a hot water outlet port and a discharge port; a bi-metal spring; a support member for mounting the bi-metal spring within the internal chamber of the valve body; and a shuttle mounted to the bi-metal spring and constructed and arranged to mate with the discharge port in a closed position of the bi-metal spring. The bi-metal spring assumes an open position to disengage from the discharge port at a predetermined water temperature to enable the hot water to discharge through the discharge port to the cold water line.
