    摘要: A control system is shown for a series of two or more water heaters arranged in parallel. A cold water supply line delivers cold water from a cold water source to a cold water inlet at each of the respective two or more water heaters arranged in parallel. A low pressure restriction is present at each cold water inlet of the water heaters which presents a low pressure restriction to the flow of cold water at each cold water inlet. A by-pass valve is also present at the cold water inlets for by-passing cold water from the cold water supply line around each of the low pressure restrictions. A hot water discharge line receives and discharges hot water from each of the water heaters. A controller is used to control when each of the by-pass valves will be open or closed based upon demand with only the by-pass valves being open which are needed to meet demand placed upon the system.

    摘要: Modifications convert an existing single-pass boiler to operate with a multi-pass combustion gas flow through the flue passages of the heat exchanger of the boiler. A diverting target wall is arranged partway along the length of the original combustion chamber, and an upper draft diverter is arranged in a flue collector chamber above the flue passages, to divert some or all of the combustion gas into a multi-pass flow pattern through several flue passages of the heat exchanger in series. The modifications may further include changing the nozzle oil delivery rate and cone angle, the oil supply pressure, the draft conditions, and others. Heat extraction from the hot combustion gas to the boiler water is increased, exhaust gas temperature is decreased, and overall efficiency is increased, to result in a fuel and cost savings.

    摘要: A sectional boiler is described as being made of cast iron or aluminum, in particular a condensing boiler, having essentially annular sections, a front section, a cover-shaped rear section and at least one center section being provided, which form a combustion chamber having an essentially surrounding heat exchanger made of a sectional block, whose annular water chambers are connected to one another via at least one hub and which has gap-like heating gas flues, having a return port and a feed port in the upper area and at least two armature rods for holding the sectional block together. The present system is based on the objective of optimizing a sectional boiler made of cast iron or aluminum particularly with respect to compactness and robustness. In the present system, as heating gas flues the heat exchanger respectively has annular gaps between two adjacent sections having a mutually adapted geometry, which respectively run from the combustion chamber approximately radially outward and open into an exhaust gas collection chamber on the outside of the sections, and the individual sections are respectively divided on the heating water side into at least two flow channels.

    摘要: An outdoor wood-burning boiler is provided that includes a wood-burning enclosure, a wood support structure, and an air supply system configured for supplying air to wood that is supported by the wood support structure. The air supply system includes conduits for carrying a flow of air. At least one conduit can extend through a sidewall of the enclosure such that an end of the conduit is located outside of the enclosure. The end can include a re-closable closure. The re-closable closure can be configured to be opened from outside of the enclosure and provide access to the interior of the conduit so the conduit can be cleaned. The end and the re-closable closure can instead be located inside the enclosure and accessible through an access panel. An air supply conduit system is also provided that can be installed after-market or as original equipment.
