    摘要: A method and apparatus for measuring the yield stress of a nonNewtonian fluid possessing a yield stress. A small sample of the fluid is disposed in a test cell with a solid particle of known specific gravity and geometry. The sample is vibrated by an electronic means so as to generate an alternating, asymmetric displacing force; and, at the first displacement of the particle, the amplitude and frequency of the vibrations is electronically measured. The yield stress is determined as a function of the amplitude and frequency of the vibration at the time of initial displacement.
