摘要： The present invention relates to drinks dispense equipment having an ice dispensing capability. A drip tray is secured to such a dispenser and the drip tray has an electrical heating element secured directly to a bottom surface thereof. The heating element consists of a specialized printed circuit having a flexible plastic base having a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) electrical heating element printed on one surface thereof. The PTC element's resistance to the flow of electrical current decreases as its temperature decreases. Thus, the cooler the circuit the more current is allowed to flow there through, whereas the warmer the circuit the less current flows through the heating element thereof. In operation, as ice accumulates on the drip tray, the heating element is cooled causing an increase in the heat output thereof, thereby melting the ice. Once the ice has melted the heating element will reduce the flow of current as the temperature thereof warms to ambient. The present invention also comprises a similar PTC based flexible heating circuit for securing to a gear motor of an ice dispensing machine. In a similar manner, the gear motor is heated by operation of the heating strip. This heating prevents the gear motor from cooling to a temperature below the ambient dewpoint as a result of conductive cooling from the ice retaining bin of the dispenser. Thus, unwanted water condensation on the gear motor is prevented.

摘要： An ice bagger comprises an ice maker, an ice bagging unit which includes an automatic sanitation system, and a merchandiser. The ice maker delivers particulate ice into a hopper housed within the ice bagging unit. The ice bagging unit includes a bag carrier which retrieves a bag from a bag supply and opens the bag underneath a delivery chute communicating with the hopper via an auger. A scale supports the bag during its filling to measure the weight of the ice delivered into the bag from the hopper. When the scale registers the desired amount of ice, the auger ceases to deliver ice from the hopper into the delivery chute. The ice bagging unit further includes a sealer arm and heating element wherein, after the bag is filled, the sealer arm pivots to detach the bag from the bag carrier and force both sides of the open end of the bag against the heating element. The heating element then activates to seal the bag closed. Once the bag has been closed, the scale pivots to deliver the sealed bag of ice into the merchandiser while the sealer arm raises to its original position. The above cycle then repeats to fill another bag with ice. Additionally, the ice bagger further comprises a sanitizing system which periodically activates to sanitize the hopper.

摘要： An ice handling and beverage dispenser includes an agitator assembly mounted within a downwardly sloping ice storage bin, the assembly including a rotor connected to an agitator with the agitator comprising a frame to sweep the ice and the rotor having a plurality of circumferentially arranged L-shaped ice moving scoops. The agitator assembly is rotatably driven by a motor adjacent a front wall of the bin whereby ice is lifted by the scoops from a location adjacent the bottom of the bin to an outlet chute thereabove. When used in a beverage cooling dispenser, the sweep arm "sweeps" the bin wall whereby ice is caused to fall onto a cold plate disposed therebelow.
