摘要: A heat recovery wheel for a heat exchanger includes a wheel rim defining an outer perimeter of the heat recovery wheel, and a plurality of wheel passages located between the wheel rim and the wheel axis. The plurality of wheel passages are arranged in a plurality of radial layers relative to a wheel central axis. Each layer is defined by a first shaped material having a first cross-sectional shape and a second shaped material assembled to the first shaped material, the second shaped material having a second cross-sectional shape. Radially adjacent layers of the plurality of layers are secured directly to one another, and the plurality of wheel passages are configured for flow of a first airflow and a second airflow therethrough for thermal energy exchange between the first airflow and the second airflow.

摘要: A method may produce a two-stage heat regenerating cryogenic refrigerator including a vacuum vessel, first and second cylinder disposed in the vessel, the second cylinder coaxially connected to the first cylinder, and first and second regenerator respectively disposed in the first and second cylinder. The method may include: accommodating a first heat regenerating material (HRM) in the first regenerator; and filling a plurality of HRM particles in the second regenerator. The HRM particles may be a second HRM, each of the HRM particles including an oxide or oxysulfide heat regenerating substance having a maximum value of specific heat at a temperature of ≤20 K of 0.3+ J/cm3·K and Ca, Mn, Mg, Be, Sr, Al, Fe, Cu, Ni, and/or Co. Each of the HRM particles may include a first and second region, the second region being closer to an HRM particle outer edge than the first region.

摘要: An energy exchange system includes a supply flow path including a central sub-path connected to a bypass sub-path that is, in turn, connected to a delivery sub-path that connects to the enclosed structure. A sensible heat exchanger configured to condition the supply air is disposed within the central sub-path. The bypass sub-path connects to the central sub-path upstream from the sensible heat exchanger within the central sub-path. A first coil configured to further condition the supply air is disposed within the central sub-path downstream from the sensible heat exchanger. A bypass damper is disposed within the bypass sub-path. The bypass damper is configured to be selectively opened and closed. The bypass damper allows at least a portion of the supply air to pass through the bypass sub-path into the delivery sub-path and bypass the sensible heat exchanger and the first coil when the bypass damper is open.

摘要: The leakage reduction system includes a heat exchanger, a duct arrangement and a separation arrangement. The heat exchanger includes a rotor assembly rotatably mounted along a rotor post. The heat exchanger further includes a second inlet plenum, whereat the duct arrangement is configured. Further, the separation arrangement is incorporated at the duct arrangement dividing thereto into primary and secondary inlets. Through the primary inlet, a flue gas enriched with Oxygen is carried, and through the secondary inlet a recycled flue gas flow is allowed to be carried, keeping the Oxygen enriched recycled flue gas flow substantially away from turnover towards the flue gas flow to avoid turnover towards a flue gas flow, reducing leakage thereof.

摘要: A regenerative heat exchanger, including a rotor mounted so it is rotatable, which has at least one first gas volume flow to be heated and at least one second gas volume flow to be cooled flowing through it, as well as a method for operating the regenerative heat exchanger, is provided. The inflowing first gas volume flow enters the rotor at a first front side of the rotor and exits the rotor again at a second front side of the rotor at an outflowing first gas volume flow. To increase the heating performance, a leakage volume flow is captured at the first front side of the rotor and supplied to the inflowing first gas volume flow and/or a leakage volume flow is captured at the second front side of the rotor and supplied to the outflowing first gas volume flow.
