    摘要: A firearm such as a pistol includes a barrel which rotates and travels linearly relative to a frame of the pistol and a slide which travels linearly relative to the barrel and frame. The barrel has at least one stop located at a muzzle end for engaging at least one stop on the slide when the barrel is in a first rotational position to prevent linear movement of the slide relative to the barrel, which stops permit the slide and said barrel to move linearly relative to one another when the barrel is in a second rotational position. Another aspect of the invention comprises a control surface which is located on a barrel of a firearm. Yet another aspect of the invention comprises such features associated with a rotating, rather than tipping, firearm barrel. Yet another aspect of the invention comprises a replaceable energy buffer for a firearm.

    摘要: A weapon for firing a projectile is provided that includes a receiver within which is disposed a loading mechanism for loading and unloading the weapon. A feed system supplies the loading mechanism with ammunition and a firing mechanism releases the loading mechanism for loading and firing the projectile. A barrel is rotatively secured to the receiver and preferably includes a rifled bore that imparts a gyroscopic spin on the projectile and a rotational force on the barrel causing the barrel to rotate as the projectile is fired. In a preferred embodiment, the barrel is provided with a plurality of blades that capture air and generate airflow across the weapon and barrel to cool the barrel.

A rear securement feature includes a locking slot formed in the rear wall of the insert engaging a locking protrusion formed in the rear wall of the frame which retains the rear portion of the insert in the frame. A front securement feature includes a rotatable pin inserted through holes in the insert front portion and frame. A radial retention protrusion on the pin is interposed between the insert and frame defining an interlock feature. The pin is rotatable into a first position wherein the protrusion passes through a complementary configured frame aperture allowing the pin to be removed, and a second position wherein the protrusion is not aligned with the aperture to engage the frame and prevent pin removal.

    摘要: A firing control system for a firearm includes a frame, a barrel with chamber configured for holding a cartridge, a spring-biased striker movable forward and rearward in a linear path along a longitudinal axis, a trigger mechanism comprising a trigger, a pivotable sear, a pivotable sear connector engaged with the sear, a sear pivotable connector blocker engaged with the sear connector, and a linearly movable sear connector actuator engageable with and operable to move the sear connector and sear connector blocker. Pulling the trigger slides the sear connector actuator which in sequence engages and rotates the sear connector blocker to disengage the sear connector, and engage and rotate the sear connector to disengage the sear and release the striker from a cocked position to discharge the firearm. In the absence of a trigger pull, the sear connector blocker remains engaged with the sear connector to prevent firing the firearm.

Provided in the handle piece is a blocking device for the forward movement of the barrel, where the blocking device has a retaining platelet that is movable in a slot and is under the action of a spring, for a barrel projection. A spring platelet is provided in the slot between the spring and the retaining platelet, where the spring platelet is designed such that it can be partially extracted from the slot transversely with respect to the center plane of the pistol. In this extracted position, the spring platelet is pivotable, together with the retaining platelet, against the force of the spring, with the result that the retaining platelet passes out of the movement path of the barrel projection and the slide can be withdrawn forward.
