    摘要: A plurality of load bar assemblies (14) are connected between a supported structure (10) and a supporting structure (12) for determining an amount of load in the supported structure. Each load bar assembly includes a load bar (20) having a middle portion (22) connected with the supported structure and end portions (24, 26) connected by load bar mounting assemblies (34) with the supported structure. Each load bar mounting assembly includes a fulcrum member (50) which supports the load bar end portion on a fulcrumming surface (54). An elongated connecting structure (60) having an enlarged upper portion (64) extends through a load bar end portion aperture (32) and a fulcrum member aperture (56) and is connected with the supporting structure. An annular washer (72) and a tubular sleeve (74) of resilient material are disposed between the elongated connecting structure and the load bar end portion to allow limited movement therebetween.

    摘要: A differential spring mechanism is provided for allowing very fine adjustments of the position of at least one flexure mounting in a weighing scale. Most of the motion of a control device is absorbed by a first relatively weak spring, leaving only a relatively small portion of that motion to be absorbed by a second relatively strong spring to which the flexure mounting is connected.

    摘要: A flexible pivot is mounted to each of a pair of members to permit restrained relative rotation between the members by providing apertures in each of the members into which opposite ends of the pivot are mounted. A threaded aperture is provided in communication with the inner surface of each of the apertures and a threaded set screw having a deformable head is threaded into each member and engages the pivot with a predetermined torque ascertained by the breakaway torque between the head and a tool used to tighten the set screw. By employing a set screw having a deformable head, a controlled holding torque which cannot be exceeded is assured to prevent damage to the fragile pivot assembly while at the same time securing the flexible pivot in position in each of the members.

    摘要: A single-pan analytical balance having two beams mounted spacedly one above the other in main bearings whose normally horizontal axes perpendicularly intersect each other. One arm of each beam carries a counterpoise whereas the other arm is secured to a hanger assembly carrying a top-loading weighing pan by hanger bearings whose pivot axes are parallel to the corresponding main bearings. The bearings consist essentially of flexible metal ribbons. An electromagnetic device acting on the hanger assembly permits weighing by compensation in a known manner.
