    摘要: Techniques are described herein that perform capacitance-based pressure sensing using pressure vessel(s). A pressure vessel is an object that has a cross section that defines a void. The void has a shape that is configured to change based on a change of pressure difference between a cavity pressure in a cavity in which at least a portion of the pressure vessel is suspended and a vessel pressure in the pressure vessel. The pressure vessel may be formed in the shape of an enclosed loop (e.g., along a path that is perpendicular to the cross section), resulting in a looped pressure vessel. For instance, an end of the pressure vessel may be connected to another end of the pressure vessel to form the enclosed loop.

    摘要: A differential pressure transducer utilizing fluid-filled chambers as pressure transfer linkage to an isolated, fluid-filled aneroid sensing system. Isolation diaphragms are spread by means of internal fluid pressure fill of transfer chambers, thus providing elevated line pressure mode and pressure-biased operation. Construction offers media isolation from sensitive interior elements of the transducer. Material to come into physical contact with a pressure medium may thus be chosen for specific application. Dual, nested aneroid sensors cooperated to produce a linear displacement in response to an applied pressure differential. A cantilever beam assembly responds to the linear displacement so caused by flexing in a degree proportional to the applied pressure differential. The fluid-filled sensing system may comprise nested, aneroid capsule diaphragms, carrying a sufficient amount of incompressible fluid to support the capsule diaphragm for high line pressure use. The nested, aneroid capsule diaphragms are thus also spread by the fluid pressure, thereby placing the pressure deflection of the aneroids in an elevated line pressure mode and providing pressure-biased operation. Strain gages respond to the flexing of the cantilever beam assembly, thereby having an electrical signal induced in them proportional to the applied differential pressure as sensed by the aneroid capsule diaphragm sensors.

    摘要: A pressure transducer using diaphragm capsules. In a first general embodiment, operable to avoid failure due to extreme overpressure, a pair of nestable diaphragm capsules, differing one from the other in surface area and rigidity, are interconnected by a passageway, and the diaphragms and passageway are filled with a substantially incompressible fluid. In a second general embodiment, operable to cancel out inertial effects, pairs of diaphragm capsules are utilized. Each capsule forms an interface between the high and low pressures and the diaphragms are positioned in opposition to one another, so as to move in opposite directions in response to a given change in pressure differential. A third general embodiment combines the first and second embodiments.

    摘要: A differential pressure sensor for measuring a pressure difference between two high-pressure environments is comprised of a sensor block including internal, oil-filled channels leading to an internally positioned differential pressure sensor element. Two process diaphragms are provided for transferring pressure from the high-pressure environments for isolating two distinct internal oil channels from the high-pressure environments. In order to achieve small internal oil volumes in the sensor block, additionally two separating discs, which initially separate between the two internal oil channels, are positioned in fluid communication with the high-pressure environments in order to block for the pressure from the high-pressure environments against the oil channels “from behind.” The separating discs bear against abutment faces having small openings into the internal oil channels. The separating discs are preferably given a pre-tension, and the abutment faces are then shaped correspondingly having a slightly convex shape. Preferably, separating discs with no corrugations are used.
