In one example, the electronic controller is configured to receive data indicative of the operating parameter from the sensor, compare the data to a known characteristic curve, the known characteristic curve indicating potential damage to a component of the electric power steering system, and when the data matches the known characteristic curve, output an indication to a user that potential damage has occurred to the component of the electric power steering system.

    摘要: A method for determining a fully extended position of a screening body (14) of a screening device (12) for a roof window. The screening device (12) comprises a control unit comprising a data storage device, an electric motor (18) comprising a tachometer (181), a roller tube (15), a screening body (14) and a first and a second spring element (164, 174). The method comprises the steps of driving the screening body (14) from a fully retracted position to a fully extended position, in which the spring elements (164, 174) are tensioned to a first tension level, T1, stopping the electric motor (18) at a point at which the spring elements (164, 174) are tensioned to a second tension level, T2, above the first tension level, T1, measuring the number of revolutions, Rd, of the roller tube (15) necessary to drive the screening body (14) to the said position at which the motor (18) is stopped, storing the measured number of revolutions, Rd, in the data storage device, measuring the number of revolutions, Rb, of the roller tube, that a release of a tension corresponding to the difference, ΔT, between the first tension level, T1, and the second tension level, T2, will cause the roller tube (15) to move back towards the fully retracted position, storing the number of revolutions, Rb, in the data storage device, and calculating and storing in the data storage device a value R=Rd−Rb.

    摘要: In some aspects of what is described herein, an aircraft wheel speed sensor system includes a pair of conductors coupled between an electro-mechanical system and a control system. The control system is configured to apply a carrier voltage signal to the pair of conductors and to detect a modulated current signal on the pair of conductors. The electro-mechanical system includes a stator and a rotor that moves upon rotation of an aircraft wheel. The stator includes a winding disposed about the rotor. The winding is configured to produce the modulated current signal on the pair of conductors in response to movement of the rotor. The modulated current signal has a frequency that is dependent on a rotational speed of the aircraft wheel.

    摘要: A brushless tachometer in which output signal switching is achieved using field effect transistors and which is capable of achieving linearity over a broad range, particularly the zero speed region. According to a preferred embodiment, the brushless tachometer is operated in a current mode as part of the servo loop to substantially reduce tachometer voltage switching requirements. A ROM can be used to control commutation switching. Commutation is preferable line-to-neutral to reduce ripple.

    摘要: A transducer to monitor velocity and direction of movement having a magnetic core with at least three spaced apart poles. Two of the poles include coils which are wired series aiding for connection to an input alternating voltage, which upon current flow create a magnetic field intersecting the path of movement of an object being monitored. The third pole includes a coil in which an alternating output voltage is induced when the monitored object moves. The magnitude of such output voltage varies with the rate of speed of the monitored object. The phase relationship of output voltage to input voltage varies with the direction in which the monitored object moves. The coil in the third pole is connected to responsive means to receive the output signal and control, or indicate, the speed as well as the direction of movement of the monitored object.

    摘要: A sub-fractional A.C. signal generator incorporating a stator assembly comprising a coil wound upon an annular bobbin of molded insulator material, a pair of annular magnetically premeable stator members having alignment apertures snap-fit onto integral bosses projecting from the bobbin, in concentric relation in a stator sub-assembly, the two stator members affording a multiplicity of individual pole pieces interleaved one-for-one around the outer periphery of the coil. The sub-assembly and an insulator barrier are press fit onto opposite ends of a cylindrical stator support member within which a sleeve bearing is mounted to provide a complete stator assembly. A drive shaft is journalled in the stator bearing and carries an annular permanent magnet which encompasses the stator members but is spaced therefrom by a uniform radial air gap. A housing affixed to the insulator barrier encompasses rotor and stator assemblies.

    摘要: The rate of motion of a relatively large body with respect to another body is detected by apparatus carried on the bodies. A magnet on one body provides a magnetic field between pole pieces and a set of relatively short electrical conductors, each conductor extending transversely from a relatively long electrical conductor, all carried on the other body, is positioned thereon to move through the magnetic field, one short conductor after another. An electrical contact contacts the extending end of at least one short conductor at a time while the contacted conductor is moving in the magnetic field, producing an electrical signal between the contact and the long conductor, which is representative of the rate of motion.
